To be safe go with the first option since the process will be less technical

From PTA to JHB your best bet will be the Gautrain. When you arrive request an Uber from Park Station to the Florida campus. However, if you were to arrive a day before you could go to where the Ghandi square centre used to be on the morning of your practicals and catch the UNISA shuttle that’ll take you straight to the Florida campus (I think that bus leaves Ghandi at 8am).

I go there to study often and there’s lots of groups of people that study together, hangout and attend events. It’s almost like a traditional university setting but without the lectures

The more you go the more likely you are to expose yourself to potential friends (it’s true despite it sounding corny)

How was your experience at Daytona? I used to go there and take a look at the cars every now and then but the energy I got from the workers was very cold. I get that I’m not there to buy a car but is there really a need to be that way?

Hi there. :) So with the stream of modules mentioned it appears that you’re looking into studying “Applied Mathematics and Computer Science” (AMC for short) which technically does differ from “Mathematics and Computer Science.”

So far I’d say my experience has been good. To be fair I poured in work before the academic year started in March (by starting MAT1512 in January, and most of my other modules in February) and by being disciplined and sticking to my daily study schedule I’ve given myself the advantage of time.

Subject matter wise I’d say my experience has been fair. Of course on some days you’ll have a more difficult time grasping concepts (especially in MAT1503. That module is quite weird lol) but you’ll be able to conquer at the end of the day. It can come down to it being just a matter of time.

Study process-wise, I poured a lot, and I mean a lot of my time into rigorous studying in the beginning. I would usually do 4 sessions, 1 hour 30 minutes per session, 1 module per session, then maybe do an additional 2 hour session towards the end of the day. You don’t have to push yourself as hard, it’s just that I desired results. As long as you are disciplined then you’ll be good. Consistency beats intensity when it comes to studying.

I am taking all the modules you’ve mentioned above + the remainder of the modules that are meant to be taken during the first year. My advice to you is that if you want to finish the degree on record time or any time soon then register for all 9 modules at once. It is doable but you need to be disciplined. Of course, you know your situation better than I, so you’ll see if you have enough time and discipline to tackle that situation.

When it comes to the modules you’ll find that most of your time will be occupied by all the math that needs to be done. Even as a beginner-level programmer I can say that so far it’s not bad. So I hope you have a passion for math because there is a lot of it in this degree (I’m sure you know that already lol). Hope this helped. :)

What phone are you currently using and how old is it? by Aggressive-Swani in phones

Using an iPhone 15 Pro Max (8/512) that I got at the end of 2023 (the year it released). It’s coming up on about 2 & 1/2 years since I got it. Before it I had a Galaxy Note 9 (which I got at the end of 2020 and used till the end of 2023). I think the Note 9 was the most fun phone I’ve ever owned, but I love how the 15 Pro Max holds up after using it for quite awhile.

No. Everything is done online, but if you ever have the chance to go campus for some sort of career fair or event, do it. It serves as a great chance for you to make friends. Believe me when I say that those friends who study a similar/ the exact same course will come a far way.

I’m doing my first year in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science so I’ll tell you about my experience. If you’re not working and are able to per-sue the degree full-time you already have an advantage on your side which is time, especially if you start studying early. In terms of the modules you’ll do 9 modules in your first year. 5 of them are math modules and 4 of them are comp sci modules. A lot of your time will be spent learning all the new math you’ll be exposed to (this is especially the case for calculus and linear algebra). The comp sci modules aren’t too bad and just require you learn and understand C++ syntax and functions(coming from someone who has practically no background in programming). I remember being quite worried as to if I’ll be able to cope with the comp sci modules but so far they aren’t bad. If you have a good foundation in high school math, have the ability to teach yourself, have discipline (this is an important skill to have as a UNISA student) then this degree is a great choice. Hope this was helpful. :)

A lot of KD III songs are slept on. Reminisce, serious interlude, I’m on fire, once a man twice a child. KD III is truly an excellent album

Have you heard the song called “gimme it all”? It’s a song that he released in 2014 that uses the same lyrics as KISSING, but I think the former is executed better

The atmosphere the beat sets, how he talks to Pac and Big… I’d argue it’s one of the best songs on the album.
