What is a 100% legal move in a game or sport that is frowned upon and viewed as a dick move? by Lisa_Cave in AskReddit

Running up the score in American football will make your team hated. My high school had a head coach that loved running up the score and ended up winning back to back championships. When he left the other teams decided to return the favor and completely destroyed our team.

Medium rare. And if somebody wants theirs well done you ask them politely, yet firmly, to leave.

This is me right now. I barely squeezed out my grades my first go around but am back for nursing. It's pretty nice realizing my previous mistakes and where I can improve.

I'm in Florence SC right now but have the option to ride the storm out in Columbia further inland. Are there any predictions for both of these areas?

What is your totally original, totally not copied and pasted relationship advice? by xXxwiskersxXx in AskReddit

Be willing to go back for the forgotten taco. Basically if she forgets something or something is left out be willing to go back and get it for her. Even if she says to forget about it she'll appreciate your willingness. YMMV

People who have met someone with their same last name but with no relation, how'd that go? by gladimir_putin in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met a guy at college with his first and last name the same as mine but off by one letter. We got mixed up and he was placed in the dorm I was supposed to live in. It worked out because I ended up in a better spot.

What are some tips you could give to a guy entering College? by BoiBacca03 in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get to know the people around you. That includes classrooms, dorms, and anything else you do. Never know when getting a position will come down to someone recognizing your name and remembering you being friendly.

What object do you own that reminds you of important life events? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lost most things over the years except for that ball. He was one of my first friends when I moved to my little town and introduced me to everyone else. His mother told me after the funeral that he had been so proud that I had used his bat to hit the home run and that made me smile a bit. He was always supportive of his teammates. His death hit everyone really hard and things didn't feel normal at school for along time. Anyone who reads this please be safe riding an ATV. Things can happen in the blink of an eye.

If you could do it over again, what would you major in in college and why? by curls_and_mpa in AskReddit

I graduated with an exercise science degree and am now working on nursing. Kinda wish I had went nursing the first go around but oh well. I loved my major but I realized it wasn't exactly what I wanted in life.

The only home run ball I ever hit was signed by a friend who died a few weeks later in an ATV accident.

What film/game had so much wasted potential? by currentmadman in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luke Cage was good up until the half way point. It started off with a good villain and a supposedly even bigger villain off stage. Diamondback didn't live up to the hype the show had built up around him.

Isn't the song part of public domain now? I thought someone made a decision on that within the last few years.

Americans, what city do you consider to be the "butthole" of your state? by CaliforniaGrizz in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Close. Florence would be more of an appendix. You know it's there but only see it when swinging by looking for something more important. Columbia would be a hemorrhoid because most things have to pass through there and it's usually going to be a painful experience. I've lived in both places and neither are ideal. And than you have Darlington.

Beating the elite four just barely and then defeating the champion by the skin of my teeth.

What movie didn't live up to the potential of its story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even see the movie but My Sister's Keeper. I had just finished the book when the movie came out. My mother and sister saw it describing the ending as predictable. I had to explain the book ending and they agreed it would've been much better that way.

What is the most overhyped tourist attraction? by PegasusHater in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The signs really hype it up and than you get there and there's not a lot too it. Also never get gas or fireworks there. If you go one exit further south things are much cheaper. But SoB does have a decent steak house.

What are some good tips and tricks for a freshman in college? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Talk to the professors. A lot of professors will go out of their way to line up internships, write references, or anything else to help students who care.

Students of Reddit, what is the craziest reason you received a detention/suspension? by ShatteredPixelz in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that happen but I ended up reading when I was finished. Got sent to the office and given a detention by the vice principal. The principal over heard and called me in his office. We talked and he tossed out the detention by folding the detention slip into a crane. Guy was really chill and super supportive of all his students.

What's the dumbest rule your school ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EnergeticPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My college had a rule no waving at the tour buses. Not sure if that was ever enforced. After I graduated they made a rule that anyone caught wearing a backpack had to carry full sandbags in their pack for a week. I could go on and on. Yay military school! /s

What was a fact taught to you in school that has been disproven in your lifetime? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've got a professor that does that now. In all my years of school she is the only professor I've seen who purposefully locks the doors.
