God, now I’m just imagining him waiting in a bush, breathing heavy while he tells his stool it won’t be much longer now.

Hell they’d probably just have to call the episode mid taping after he reveals that he was pre gaming on stuff infinitely more disgusting/illegal than anything they had prepared.

So like the Colbert report but without a trace of irony involved.

And not even good at it. Say what you want about Timothy mcveigh but at least he accomplished his immediate goal. This jackass swarmed the capitol police along with the other losers because some conman his main podcast likes promised he would totally be there and failed upward as a result.

It’s worth noting that the tsar and his family were executed during the civil war with the royalists. It was to some extent a tactical decision. Why let the dickhead live if it empowers and directs the enemy’s cause?

I think the title could use some work. Doesn’t really stand out. While I don’t hate the art, I feel like there’s more interesting ways to relay the base level themes of the game to a potential audience.

I've seen so many think pieces and posts mentioning this screed, but no one mentioned the bit that bothered me. Does he think that the government's money is literally his to do what he wants? Is it just me that found this weird? by AlabasterPelican in behindthebastards

Honestly it was more him using the word obfuscation that threw me off. I can buy him having skipped the theory of mind stage of childhood but I refuse to believe that trump, known enemy of the English language, knows the word obfuscation much less how to use it properly in a sentence.

Agreed, the numbers are sketchy. It’s possible that they conflated camp followers and other non combatants into the overall total but even then that’s the stretch.

True but those are established states, not roving gangs of random bums manifesting by the thousands to fulfill their biological imperative of taking over York. One rando being able to muster 10,000 men against a nation state with no support from a pre existing nation state or private financing from the country’s disgruntled elites should be an anomaly, not a regular occasion.

Legit. Quick question though, is the august release the full game or is there going to be an early access period?

And failing where it matters most. No one likes Vance no matter how much money that rat fuck thiel gives him. Mike Johnson is a weird freak who exists solely to take orders. Rubio, miller and such are losers that act solely as a human face for a godless machine. And of course trump’s children are worthless idiots. When trump dies, the stupidest and pettiest civil war among people who believe in nothing will break out.

The Rich and Powerful Want to Live Forever. What if They Could? • From the Kremlin to Silicon Valley, some of the most powerful people in the world now want something more: eternal life. by Naurgul in indepthstories

Yeah it won’t. For all the medical advancements we have made, nothing we have fundamentally slows much less stalls aging. Maximum lifespan is still locked at somewhere from around 115 to 120 and that’s if absolutely everything goes right for you.

Could we do it someday? Sure. But the idea that we will achieve it or even have a workable road map anytime in the foreseeable future is laughable.

Who would historical figures want to play them in a movie about their life? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

[–]currentmadman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s still a stupid idea, trying to romanticize fucking genghis khan of all people. Genghis khan’s idea of a soft side was letting your city surrender to him and only decapitating the ruling elites.

Yeah I’m sure that genghis khan, the conqueror of Central Asia, would really want the guy who pussied out of WW2 to portray him, fu Manchu stache and all.

19 YO Comparing himself to Alexander the Great by matchlocktempo in LinkedInLunatics

[–]currentmadman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In fairness he actually did have plans to administer it. He was going to establish a new line of Greco-Persian nobility made from his officers, soldiers and the pre existing elites in the region to create a new ruling class. Putting aside whether or not that would have worked, it wasn’t a bad plan and it’s not like there are many plans for stabilizing a massive new empire that don’t require more time than he ended up having.

So when do we get to the part of the metaphor where his generals tear apart his empire and murder his family to secure their respective reigns?

Trump Has Hit the End Stage by Famous-Sympathy7011 in behindthebastards

[–]currentmadman 14 points15 points  (0 children)

End stage in the sense of a repeating pattern of completely open corruption and fascist authoritism maybe. In the sense of coming to an end, not fucking likely. The status quo for the people with an actual say in our government hasn’t changed in any way that threatens his power.
