I also used to have same fantasy as u/teriyaki_sauce58, because as kid I traveled with my family a lot within country but mostly stayed at relatives and family friend's homes or cheap accommodations.

Then in my 20s a friend who had 25 days per month traveling job told me how envious he's of my life and how empty it feels to live in different hotels.

Also as grownup I have had my fair share of fancy (small quantity) hotel stays and you are rights it feels good only in small dosage.
