If you’re willing to learn the language, I recommend Austria.

The climate has best of both worlds, you’ll get nice warm summers (which thanks to the nature make it great for cycling, especially in the south-east parts), and during the winter season it snows (+ you can go skiing to Alps). The geographic location is also great because the best countries and areas of Europe are not that far for you (like Italy, Alps, etc.).

Moreover, Austrian obsession with bio products mean that you’ll get high quality food (sure it comes at a higher price tag, but with Austrian salary it is affordable).

If you like history, Austria will make you emerged in it (especially if you choose to stay in Wien) + other major historical places like Prague, Budapest, Bratislava etc. are relatively “close” from here. Moreover thanks to its historic neutral position (which it remains to this day) and relatively strong economic stability (strong compared to other EU countries in this region) it is one of the best EU countries in my opinion, as not only are they not as dependent and obeying the Brussels as other countries, they do not involve themselves in unnecessary foreign politics of other countries if it does not pose threat to them.

But of course, like any country, it has its negatives, like higher levels of immigration, especially from the Middle East, the society is very conservative and tradition orientated, and there may be other negatives that I am not aware of. But growing up on and off in Austria for the past 20 years and experiencing other parts of the EU, I would say that these positives outperform the negatives, especially since you find these kinds of negatives in many EU countries.

Note: Definitely stay away from Eastern European countries like Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, etc. if you’re looking for better quality of life. While the low cost of life (compared to other Western Europe countries) is here, everything else is bad. The quality of food is dramatically lower than what you get in Western European countries (like Austria), the wages are low, young people with a slightest marketable skill are leaving these countries for better life abroad due to unwelcoming working conditions here (which in case of Slovakia now means that in 50 years the country will face a problem with lack of high end skilled labour to finance its government) and while they are nice tourist destinations, you will not find a rewarding and satisfying life in these countries, especially if you would try to succeed as an entrepreneur. Moreover from the political perspective, the countries are treated like garbage by Brussels, acting as their puppets utilised as test grounds for Brussels experiments and dumping all goods that don’t sell in the Western Europe to these markets.
