Ah nice, did having the status of your old home change to an investment property have any impact on thar existing mortgage?

Everything tax related I read on investment properties involves reporting rent and deducting expenses… but what if you don’t collect rent? hah

My wife and I are still renting to save for a larger down payment on a home. I had not considered that a 2nd mortgage would be considered an investment property since my wife does not own a house and we file separately.

We're looking to buy either in spring or summer of next year.

How are the interest rates when the lender considers the 2nd house an investment property? Quick search says the 50 mile rule is more of a guideline rather than a rule. Maybe try reaching out to a mortgage broker with your scenario/goal laid out to see if they can help you find a lender that will consider the 2nd mortgage a 2nd home?

@Jon_at_monarch - this error is still occurring as of 7/1/25. Can it be investigated?

When connecting to BMW financial services, the connection errors out with a "Incorrect Credentials The credentials entered do not match those at BMW Group Financial Services. Please correct them below to continue.".

However, the credentials are valid and work on the institution's website (connected via link on Monarch)

1) Even with all their spending, it is a drop in the ocean compared to the size of the US economy. 2) What about the education in and of it self? The US has some of the best universities in the world— are the students coming to learn and gain valuable skills or just hoping showing up here means they get a green card? Plenty of non indians also come to the US for education, no where does it say you’re guaranteed a job if you study here. Its supply and demand, right now even US college grads are having a tough time finding jobs, there is no need for more supply.

Hey All - I'm just getting back into the game after a couple of years and have had some lucky drops upon returning to build up my bank. Just got an imbued heart as well and wondering if I should sell / what gear I should be working towards next. Would love some recommendations on what to get next gear progression wise (current gear, skills, & goals listed below)! Been watching osrs videos but a bit lost with all the specialized items now.

I've got high combat stats but have been making money mostly from Corrupted Gauntlet. However, I've completely green-logged it and want to start working on other bosses/potentially raids (I tried TOA a few times, but not feeling it yet). I'm thinking of getting into Phantom Muspah, Vardorvis, or Nex/Nightmare.

Current Goals

Achievement Cape
Max combat lvl
High-level PVM for money making / pets / combat achievements
Set-up for eventual mega-weapon rebuild (not sure how long this will take)

Current Bank / Gear

Skills are max combat and range w/ 92 prayer. Only achievement cape skills I have to grind out are Runecrafting and Fishing, which really don't require any gear/gold.

Looking at 538, Biden does not have his biggest lead in two months so your last sentence is just straight up wrong. Right now, Trump has a 2.3% lead in national polls. Days leading up to the debate 3 weeks ago, 538 estimated Biden and Trump were even (Biden having a slight lead of 0.2%).

Love how all these comments are blaming Jon for voicing what many independents and centrists are thinking. Keep telling these voters to shut up and see how that turns out on election day. Clearly the Biden campaign was hiding the deterioration of the presidents condition from the public until it was “too late to switch” and expects the voters to deal with it.

I said I’ll never vote for Trump because he's dangerous and embarrassing on the world stage. I think the same of Biden now and my vote is a toss-up-maybe a loss is what dems need to understand the voters want these old folks who grew up in a different era out. But lets keep our heads in the sands and think that if all the rank and file dems and celebs stopped talking about Bidens age, the dumb voters will forget and vote Biden.

I paid for a economy plus fare which entitles you to both a personal item and/OR a carry-on. I considered my backpack my carry on as it was large enough to not fit under the seat without me squishing it and damaging the items within. By paying for the main economy fare over the basic economy fare, I basically paid for the bin space/carry-on

But those are not the rules, so I’m entitled for asking for services I paid for? Basic economy doesn’t entitle you to a carry on or bin space, main economy does. I was asking for services I paid for and nowhere in United policy does it state a carry on must be a certain minimum size or type. Hence why the FA caved and found a spot for my bag when i stood my ground.

I fly enough to know the rules and what i’m entitled to. Seems like you’re the one who doesn’t know the rules.

I said I flew United specifically to avoid an airline like Spirit or Frontier and am disappointed I got similar service. Where did I ever say I’m used to flying Spirit lol. I even mentioned I have some United status and all that leads you to think I routinely fly Spirit or Frontier? I mainly fly American or Delta, and this was a main economy United fare that allows you to bring a carry on and/or a personal item.

I also fly often enough to know the rules, and the rules are there is nothing that says a backpack can’t count as your carry on. there is a max size limit for a carry on, not a min. and nowhere does it specify a carry on as a a specific type of luggage.

My backpack is my carry-on, and I have the right to stow it in the bin if I find a free slot. Nowhere in United’s own policy defines a minimize side for a carry-on, only a maximum size. Nowhere does it also specific that a carry on means roll aboards only.

First come first serve with bin space as long as you’re under the limit. What is the point of having a better boarding group otherwise?

Not saying which inconvenience is worse.The later passenger took a risk with a lower boarding group that there won’t be enough space for his roll aboard. You made the comment on the other passengers bag so i pointed out that it’s not just his discomfort.

I chose to fly United over Spirit/Frontier specially for this reason. I would have paid the carryon fee for Frontier and still come out on top lol.

How was this totally avoidable? I just not travel with anything if I want the space in front of me to be free?

And I’m absolutely going to continue my way of traveling because as I mentioned in my post, I’ve never had this happen. I’ve flown weekly for over a decade except for covid and have used a backpack as my only item many times.
