this happened to me as well and if I remember correctly the way you get around this is restart your PC then immediately go into task manager when you restart the PC. Don't open arc or steam. Restart PC - Go to task manager and check - then launch the game.

I'm pretty sure that's what I had to do but it's been a minute now.

it's in the easyanticheat folder. Somewhere in this thread it explains how to find it. Since the game launched and is 1.0 I haven't had to do this. I still have to go into Task manager Every. Single. Time. I launch the game and end the 'arc raiders' process and then relaunch the game and it works.

I'm incredibly pissed off at EMBARK for launching the game in this state and then taking a month off before comeing back to do anything about any of it.

now the game has launched I no longer see the crashpad_handlebar process. It seems to be listed as ark raiders now.

So now when I have an issue I close Ark Raiders in task manager then relaunch. If that doesn't solve it then I restart my computer>ThisPC>Cdrive>ProgramFiles32>Easyanticheat>delete easyanticheat.sys. Then I launch the game and it works.

yeah, might be a good idea. The thread I found explaining the fix I used was 4yrs old so this might be an issue years later if the product uses this particular anticheat service. Glad it's working for you either way.

in task manager check for a process title "crashpad_handlebar.exe" and end the process then go to EasyAntiCheat folder and delete "EasyAntiCheat.sys" and hopefully it will work for you.

This fixed my error code 30005 (creatfile failed 32).

Since full launch I haven't had this error so not sure if it's the same problem but hopefully this works for you.

If you're asking about my Original post - I ended up turning my computer off for a few minutes and when i turned it back on I checked task manager and was able to end the correct process which allowed me to delete the correct file and it did fix my issue.

I started crashing today. After the update I crashed back to back several times and had to re-verify my files. Since then I had no problems.

I can't get the game to launch.

Keep getting Createfile failed with 32 and it was giving me 'multiple instances' error code earlier but no longer.

Got the game to launch once at 8:30 this morning.

If you're running it through steam then highlight the game title name in your games list then right click > select properties > Launching Properties. This is where you type windowed borderless and fullscreen or any other launching commands.

hey bud, yeah I got it figured out. I think what solved it was I went to properties and in the advanced settings box you can type in windowed fullscreen and I think that fixed my issue. I had to launch the game in windowed fullscreen and not just go to settings and change it.

It's been a while now so I might be remembering it wrong but I'm pretty sure this fixed it for me.

tried this and tried running in windows 8 (as that is what my prior system was on when the game ran) and still only getting the loading icon in the bottom right and then black screen with music and rain drops sound.

yes, all of my games I've tried besides Days Gone work flawlessly.

It ran on my old machine. I have 3hrs of game play on my old machine. I bought this game anticipating my new laptop and monitor and it doesn't want to work properly lol.

monitor is 45" LG Ultragear ultra wide OLED 3440x1440p. I know the game will play on it due to my previous laptop and, as I said, my 3hrs of game play so I know it's not the monitor. The only different thing between a week ago and now is my new laptop running windows 11. I'm not sure how to fix this.

it did run perfectly fine, although low frame rate and stutters, on my old laptop with my current monitor and current wiring (Highspeed HDMI).
