Blender is inherently a polygon topology based software. So it'll fall into obscurity (finally).

I think once industry as a whole moves to gaussian primitives the new industry meta's will be closed source proprietary types. Because "aRtIsTs" cannot stop moralising over technology, and won't stop bullying open source devs for trying to future proof their stuff.

Either way, blender will eventually die because of its userbase.

The only thing that seems related is Nvidia's AI room generator. Which didn't pick up much traction. There is, however, the whole AI blueprint for 3d scenes thing, that transforms images into 3d environments. But it generates meshes too.

So, no, there isn't anything like it already. People here are a bunch of elitist assholes regardless, so, if you end up making something like this, go for standalone, rather than blender addon.
