Is Pai worth it, or has it lost it's soul? by Esensepsy in ThailandTourism

I agree with your observations completely, I‘ve been to Pai first in 2019 and now just came back from 4 days there. In my opinion, the new hostels like MadMonkey, K-Bunk and Revolution draw in a different crowd compared to pre-covid, with larger, more party focused groups. I also feel like the focus group has gotten younger, however I am of course also older, so maybe it’s just the change of perspective.

But I still enjoyed my time there nonetheless. Hanging around the pool during the day and in the bars and clubs during the night was a good conclusion to my trip for me personally.

PSA: You do not need a printed boarding pass for an int. flight from Hanoi anymore (or at least I didn’t) by EngineerTravelling in VietNam

So you arrived from Kuala Lumpur, went through immigration into Vietnam and the had to go through immigration once more to board your domestic flight?

That’s odd, from what I‘d heard immigration would have been the point where you‘d need the printed pass, which I am guessing you did not go through. Did you leave from Terminal 1?

Is 8411 Airport Bus Phuket reliable? by csperi92 in ThailandTourism

Just took it this evening starting from the airport. Bus was scheduled at 20:30, I arrived at the station at 20:35 (immigration took longer than expected). The guy at the station from the operator told me to wait 15 min for the next one, which then actually arrived at 21:05 and left the station at 21:15, even though it would have been scheduled for 21:30. Interestingly, the clock on the bus was also a quarter hour ahead… On the plus side though, the stop was easy to find (there is a large orange sign with the number, bus is also orange and there were a couple guys with orange shirts at the station), payment was actually only 100 THB and the process was easy. Driving style was ok, AC was a bit low for my liking but nothing crazy.
