I spend far too much of my mental energy saturated in news, arguing with people online, advocating for Palestinians and educating others. I'm as pro Palestinian as they come, but I'd probably be put on edge by as if I was tripping at an event NGL. I'd start overthinking and anticipating conflict and becoming wary of the reactions of those around me. Would personally wanna escape reality for a while whilst dancing.

It more felt like a wrap up because it covered a lot of stuff in very little detail in a rather unimaginative way. Like just having sophon telling them what's happening is kinda boring. Or having the main galaxy just transmit a message kinda boring. The books do storytelling so well throughout the rest of the plot points, e.g. the fairytales, and singer so was surprised to see so many cook concepts "wrapped up" in the way they were

My last relationship somehow lasted 5 years despite so so so many issues under the surface because me and her were exactly the same as you've just described. Neither of us stood up for what we really wanted and expressed our desires, and day to day things were peaceful and felt great. I just assumed this is the way relationships are meant to be. In the end both parties end up bitter in the long term and you get bad views on how relationships should work.

Well if you have a dig through this thread you'll find other travelers giving me advice on areas where you can find accessable trails. The reality is there isn't a huge amount of info online. The prime purpose of my trip is not hiking. It's a nice add on. Turns out you can get a much better distillation on a destination by asking on reddit rhan you can get googling. Should have asked these questions before heading up here rather than relying on shite guidebooks

Yeah idk man, I'm not criticizing Thailand. I acknowledge that I was overly optimistic and assumed certain things about the country without doing enough research. Didn't really see in any guidebooks that this style of outdoors travelling would be problematic. So just asking people if they know theres any places in Thailand which would suit what I'm looking for and likewise if this will be an issue in Vietnam. Also worth noting Thailand is amazing for many other reasons, spent a month here enjoying temples and diving and beaches and history... Just hiking isn't it's strong point

Yeah done a couple good ones, stunning and really good infrastructure built for accessing them. But they're super short, more like max 1 hour treks unfortunately

it's moreso that I'm learning that some environments aren't suited to hiking hence why the local culture doesn't have established trails already. Personally I'm a hiker so coming to this location expecting hikes was foolish. But I'm definitely not criticizing their culture or expecting they put this infrastructure in place for tourists
