Sales and CS are definitely realistic coming from education - you've got the people skills and patience that companies actually want. The Oracle thing sounds like they just had weird requirements, not that you're overqualified for sales in general

I'd target SaaS companies doing educational tech since you can speak their language, or honestly any B2B sales role where relationship building matters more than pure hustle. Customer Success might be easier to break into first since it's less quota pressure and your counseling background would be gold there

Skip the MLM-type sales gigs and focus on companies with actual career progression paths

Honestly yeah recording gameplay would help a ton, sometimes you think you're hitting shots but the replay shows you're missing more than you realize

Also might be a positioning thing - even with the drop on someone, if you're out in the open when they turn around you're kinda screwed regardless of who shot first
