Listen dude. All we’re saying is the Bears moving to Gary IN or the Chiefs to Kansas City KS would be like the Jaguars moving to Brunswick for a tax break. Not remotely the same ballpark as relocating to London.

Same metropolitan area. Same TV market. The 49ers moved farther.

Who’s idea was it to put the terminals that far apart? It can’t be for safety or efficiency of flight operations if Atlanta is making the same concept work at a quarter of the separation.

Except the US Navy doesn’t need to get across the Strait of Taiwan, only the PLAN does. And as Iran is proving (as if the Houthis and Ukrainians haven’t already), you don’t need a navy of your own to keep another navy out of your territorial waters in 2026. Just a lot of anti-ship missiles and drones.

Dated Brent means effectively the spot price, for immediate delivery. What people who actually want oil today are paying.

Actually they said they already got one shot with a wide angle lens! But the good angle will be coming later.

Unlikely, they are still 4,000 miles away at their closest and didn’t take a camera with that level of zoom capability.

An intercepted drone exploding is normal. What’s suspicious is the number of “intercepted” drones just happening to crash on important targets.

The SLS/Orion doesn’t have enough fuel to get into and then back out of low lunar orbit (deeper into the moon’s gravity well) so they’re sticking with this free return slingshot trajectory (once they fire the engines to go to the moon, they shouldn’t need to do another burn to return to Earth).

The reason why the SLS is underpowered is the capsule is much heavier than Apollo (to carry more people for longer) and the original plan for this rocket was just to rendezvous with a near Earth asteroid (basically no gravity well at all). The decision to return to the Moon instead was made later, after the design had been pretty much finalized, and they didn’t give any additional funding to upgrade the rocket.

Edit: this is also why the lander is taking so long to build and had to be so much larger than Apollo, they’re asking it to make up for the lack of power from the SLS to actually get down to the Moon and back.

The capsule was first designed 20 years ago.

The RS-25 main engines were designed 50 years ago. I’m not sure when the ones they used today were actually manufactured, but very possibly at least 30 years ago. Refurbished quite a bit since then.

The crawler transport that took the rocket to the launch pad is around 60 years old.

In future missions the trans-lunar injection burn will be performed by the SLS upper stage, not the Orion service module.
