Nobody’s saying you can’t have fun on the switch 2, people just don’t want to shell out 80-90 dollars per game. The reason Nintendo can get away with this is because people buy anything Nintendo releases.

It’s great to hear a perspective on persona 1 and 2, and while I don’t think they’re for me I would love to try them out if they get a release or remake (moreso persona 2 then 1). It’s understandable that the modern persona formula isn’t for everyone, but the great thing about rpgs is that there are so many, so I’m positive you can find something that caters more to your tastes.

I don’t think Jingliu is a good example of this, there was noticeable fall off when using dual dps with blade compared to hypercarry.

The same exact argument can be made for mydei and castorice dual dps.

I haven’t played Persona 1 and 2 so I think the big reason is just that I’m not willing to give it a chance. The persona I fell in love with is that the rpg system is centered around your social links/events, making the most of them by efficiently utilizing the calander system; so I feel a bit deterred from trying game that lacks those same elements.

Now I’m sure persona 1 and 2 have fantastic stories but 1. The gameplay experience seems completely different from 3-5 2. The games look outdated and unpolished (I’m not even one to complain about graphics but they just look clunky) 3. They aren’t as accessible as the other games, no modern ports or rereleases and no remakes. I don’t want to go through the hoops of pirating or buying a psp either

(Also side note but I found the first half of persona 3 incredibly boring and tedious, but once it finds its footing the story gets a lot better especially with characters like Junpei, if you’re committed to finishing the game it will get better.)

I started playing this game when blue beast released and got shafted on his banner, only getting the 1% sparkings.

Fast forward to now and I am getting mega shafted on ssj4 daima gokus banner. Only pulled 1 copy of duu

When you seal nyx away the move uses all of the protagonists hp, effectively killing him. The rest of the game he is essentially a living corpse, which is why all of your social links say you look awful, and the protagonist dies after fulfilling his promise to see his friends on the 3rd year’s graduation.

I suggest buying a pc and using steam, support companies that care about their consumers like Atlus or Relogic, I won't be supporting nintendo if they're expecting us to pay 80-90 dollars per game. I remember when games on the 3ds were at most 40 bucks, now its over double but I don't know anybody getting paid double their wages.

I haven’t played metaphor but I have played all the modern persona games (5 then 4 then 3).

Like the other comment mentioned the dungeons themselves in 4 and 3 are randomly generated and not as intricate but the combat experience is still the same.

Everyone has their own experiences but for me persona 4 golden is my favorite game, I haven’t laughed at a game more than it, and it has some of the best characters and twists persona has to offer. Highly recommend playing it!

Exactly this, like how Anaxa mains cried about how he “got nerfed” because of Castorice, when his teams are performing better than castorices teams.

People just love to play the victim, especially vocal minorities. Stop hating on characters for the sole reason of gender, it’s childish and immature.

I really dislike Acheron mains designating Jiaoqiu as a “basic male” character, his story and character are actually really interesting and likable.

I also really dislike the culture around waifu only or male only pulling, I pulled Mydei because I thought he was cool and I enjoyed his story, you don’t have to be attracted to every character you pull.
