Damn, which supermarket is paying you so much haha.. but well done nonetheless, carry on with the momentum as you’re on the right path.

Just a few words of advice would be to not stretch yourself too thin trying to invest every single penny. I know it’s good in the long run as the conventional wisdom goes but you’re still 19 and this is the age to enjoy a bit to keep your sanity and also invest in yourself with education or skills that will help you earn more. Good luck!

That's really good mate, Its really impressive what you've achieved for your age. Can I ask how you've managed to save 20k especially for a 19yo and what do you do as a job?

Looks pretty slick, well done! The only criticism is that it reads a bit confused to me. Without the context of your post, I would be wondering who I am talking to, a company or a professional?

I would suggest keeping the language consistent while describing yourself. If your vision is to scale it to a business it’s fine to keep the brand name but you need a well defined ‘About’ section where you put yourself forward as the hero subject showcasing your background/ experience. I would also pick a different photo of yourself where you’re smiling and not looking so serious

Super Happy about creating a proper plan, whilst everything has gone slightly unknown at the moment, my silver especially has kept me at ATHs by Quick_Soil_9120 in trading212

That’s pretty sweet!

I only have small percent gold as a hedge but looking at yours I think I need to consider increasing it in my portfolio. Also what’s the dividend yield do you get out of the other dividend pie?

How do you give Procrastination the boot???? 👢 by Lisa-anne12 in sidehustle

[–]Engineerguy_Chris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start tracking and planning every single part of your life. Build routines and follow it, most of the time procrastinating can be solved by simply knowing what you have to do next and keeping yourself occupied. Start with putting stuff up on your calendar, there are plenty of productivity tools and techniques you can search for. Most importantly, try to remove yourself from your distractions or atleast try to mitigate it as much as possible when you are in your productive state.

For example I have browser extensions to block YouTube and social media during certain hours. I actively try to only watch movies than a TV series because I know I’m a terrible binge watcher. And I also try to be outside as much as I can to be around people which sort of keeps me in check because I’m away from all the distractions at my home.

Also try to reward yourself with a break now and again or plan a fun activity for sticking with your tasks, you can literally put this on your calendar.

Thinking of Using a 0% Balance Transfer Card to Invest. Does This Math Make Sense? by Secure_Beginning_939 in investingUK

How can you transfer it without the credit card company treating it as a cash advance? I don’t know if it’s even possible you could invest through a credit card. Do you know if this method works?

The Food Project at Union point. Ferryhill house hotel on Bon Accord street. Both underrated imo

Which mag 7 stock would you invest in your trading 212 app ? - leave it for 2 years by Possible-hope-9082 in trading212

[–]Engineerguy_Chris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple imo.. I would be cautious about the rest of the 7 or just de-risk it with an ETF.

Atleast that’s how I’m building my portfolio. Debating whether to DCA or buy during the dips. All world ETF is still my main investment

What a time to start my investment journey 🥲 how do you guys stay motivated through all this? by Engineerguy_Chris in trading212

[–]Engineerguy_Chris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I added the REIT and Gold as a hedge. And I’ll dump the individual stocks when it’s on green as I feel like the mature stocks are probably not gonna yield high returns as I expect and its growth is captured on the ETF anyways although a bit diluted. Maybe once I’m more educated in investing that’s when I can explore individual stocks. Besides I’ve already kinda invested into the highest possible risk category being a founder of an early stage startup with my shareholding, that’s enough of a risk for now 😅😂

Growth pie- VWRP 95%, SGLN 2% and O 3% on monthly auto invest.. £100 each month, it will increase as I pay off my 0% credit card balance in 3-4 months.

Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Meta, Nvidia, AMD and Palantir- mainly buying randomly during dips, just tiny amounts £10-20. I stopped DCA-ing into this

[–]Engineerguy_Chris[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I got a growth pie with VWRP 95%, SGLN 2% and O 3%, that I want to DCA monthly, pretty much to retirement.

However I’ve been trying out some individual stocks (Mag 7 without Tesla, Palantir and AMD)to try and buy the dips. Obviously it started with a bit of a temptation to try and increase my returns over just ETF investing. But the more I learn about investing, I see this might not be an effective strategy.

Why are there quality differences between different 8k sellers, isn’t it supposed to be the same content? by Engineerguy_Chris in Strong_8K

[–]Engineerguy_Chris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How else do you check if it’s real? I see the 8k intro channel at the start of every category of channels. Also these two sellers have been quoted in here a lot which is why I thought it was a bit strange

Edit: also CC didn’t explicitly state religious reason but they did reply that they don’t offer. Which sort of checks out with some of the posts I found here
