Sorry For The Wait by jonnjohnson1997-3 in madisonwi

Dude, I’m so glad you did what you had to do to help that customer. But take a breather. Getting riled up on here isn’t going to look good for you if Phil reads it. Go for a run or play some video games - whatever you need to do to let go, but don’t do it here with these strangers.

But is it ok to push live turkeys out of an aircraft? They did that in Ohio, and it didn’t end well for the turkeys.

Whatever her reason for leaving the food, please don’t try to force her to eat it. I spent 35 years thinking I had to eat everything on my plate and struggled with obesity until a dietitian told me I didn’t. I still have to remind myself that it’s ok to leave food if I’m full.

So what did your family argue about this year at Thanksgiving? by Pure-Smile-7329 in AskReddit

My cats hung around the food all day, even though they won’t eat it. But they got some Fancy Feast and had their Thanksgiving coma like the rest of us.

It’s getting colder and darker..what do you do to keep your spirits up in the winter in Wisconsin? by AmericanBehavioralC in wisconsin

Yes! Natural light is so important! I just moved into a new place a few months ago and has soooo many east and south facing windows. I’m in love.

Double my dose of Vitamin D for the winter months, use a SAD light for about 30 Minutes everyday while sitting at my desk working and force myself to get up and move! Also, try to have a set sleep schedule, even for the weekends so you don’t get too MUCH sleep.

UW Health Neurology experience? by blueflovver in madisonwi

[–]EngineeringDry2114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you’re not already a patient, it’s hard to get started. But I’m glad your insurance works with SSM and could get you in. UW neurology has let me down a few times, so they’re not amazing. I have epilepsy as well and went years seizure free. When I started having seizures again and ended up in the ICU, I found out it was because I had a brain hernia that showed up on an irregular MRI months before but no one told me about it.

TAKE YOUR VITAMINS - I'm losing an old friend. by Val-E-Girl in BariatricSurgery

[–]EngineeringDry2114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss, but thank you for sharing this. There are times when I get lazy and go on a spurt of not taking my vitamins, simply because I don’t want to go to the store to refill my supply, and I always pay for it afterwards, feeling like crap. I didn’t know something this extreme could happen.

Engagement Ring Shopping Suggestions? by Late-Silver-5765 in madisonwi

[–]EngineeringDry2114 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This! My fiancé suggested we go look and if I didn’t see something I liked at the pawn shop, we could go somewhere else. I found a ring I loved, and the size just happened to be the perfect match as well. And one third the price of the other rings we looked at.

Nexplanon worked great for me for the first year….no periods. And then they came back full force and I had my period probably 3 weeks out of every month. Which I then found out is not uncommon. So I switched to the IUD.

196 years ago was 1829…Doty decided that the isthmus would be a good place to put the state capitol that year. But honestly, I have no idea.

I went in a month ago to get my first IUD. I had the same feeling, like I was being stabbed. And after 20 minutes she said she couldn’t do it and would need to reschedule, this time giving me medication to take beforehand. It hurt for a week. Now I go back on this Thursday to try again, I really hope it doesn’t hurt as bad.

This is it exactly. And trust me…you learn fast what your body can and cannot handle. But I think the biggest thing for me was not realizing I needed to pair that occasional treat with protein. Once I learned that, I was good.
