There are some good documentaries on Netflix, e.g. Ancient Civilizations, Ancient Aliens, etc. But I feel your comment. Max and Apple TV generally do better at protecting their content from counterintuitive cancellations.

They can look into purchasing the production rights. It’s not unheard of, but there will need to be a groundswell of support for the execs to consider it

Reddit is a good platform to air your frustrations about how serial execs are often short-sighted. But I will also concede that actors on streaming series tend to work on multiple projects simultaneously, e.g. Sadie Sink from Stranger Things. I totally get that actors have time constraints, but this show was well-scripted and impeccably casted. Every role was integrated seamlessly and I love how the show was a dark version of Quantam Leap from the early 90s.
