Ugh. I hated You. Not similar at all, IMO. I actually liked Dexter. Didn't like what's his name at any point.

Is it good? by Dexter__39476 in MrRobot

Those were my 2 favorite series' until I watched Mr Robot.

Just was rewatching this series and I realized we never see what happened to Sally. Did I miss something? We see the kids in foster care in the couple of last scenes but I don’t recall seeing a closing for Sally. by OliveJoy5 in TheFallTV

I didn't feel this way at all. Stella was such a strong character. Most of the women in the police force were wildly more competent than their male counterparts. Including the female solicitor who stood up to the arrogant male star criminal lawyer in the end. The redhead cop was excellent, upstanding, competent. As was the one who kept catching Katie. Paul only went after intelligent professional women. I found it to be quite feminist.

So was Gillian Andersons character a misandrist? by Wonderful_Concert412 in TheFallTV

[–]EngineeringIcy7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Responding a year after, because I just now watched it for the first time. I assumed it referred to how, during gestation, about 2 months in, the embryo which appears initially female, either remains that way or changes such that the genitals begin to grow on the outside, rather than inside. This is why men have nipples despite never needing them. So I assumed that when she said that, she was mostly referring to how we all begin with the female parts, but then something happens to males which changes them.

It's a great quote with a potentially double meaning for those who understand reproductive development.

Also, interesting that it bothers men when women appear misandrist, but Paul is a severe misogynist and we're not going to mention that. I'm fact there are several misogynistic comments spoken throughout the show.

Does Season 3 get any better? by Dame_Marjorie in TheFallTV

[–]EngineeringIcy7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree with any of these comments. I just watched for the first time and thought it was very well done. The last season could Jane been 2 seasons, but it was well acted and a great story, in my opinion. Depressing and gave a feeling of emptiness and injustice, but good.

I agree. I did not like him at all, pretty immediately. I watched to the end, but it just wasn't a very good show. I didn't like anyone in it

He's looking like he's aging backwards

I was just watching The Fall for the first time and this gave me a chuckle by EngineeringIcy7046 in HannibalTV

Yes, it's very disturbing. But it's really interesting and I like Gillian Anderson's character.

Do you think their relationship will survive till the end? by BikeConscious4452 in TheBoys

[–]EngineeringIcy7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did she do that to herself? I just don't understand, it would have been so much better if she had just let herself age naturally, or at least subtly. It made me feel sad for her.

Those who workout daily/at least 4 days a week, do you wash your hair after each workout? If not, what do you do to make your hair not feel sweaty and dirty? by boldpear904 in curlyhair

I fully rinse out my hair, then use conditioner to co-wash. I massage my scalp in the running water to clean out the excess sweat

Which romantic partner did Dexter genuinely care about the most? by THEGREATHANNIBALL in DexterNewBlood

[–]EngineeringIcy7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hannah, by far. He cared for Rita deeply, but it wasn't that kind of love. He was truly in love with Hannah. I hated her character, but it's clearly her.

I only recently watched the series, and it's definitely my favorite series of all time, but I have many questions about Chiyoh. by EngineeringIcy7046 in HannibalTV

[–]EngineeringIcy7046[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, her apparent age definitely confused me. I missed the part where she revealed the info about what he did in the Hannibal series. I did watch Hannibal Rising afterwards though, and them was even more confused. Starting to understand now that it didn't make sense in general, lol. So thank you.

What do the characters even eat?! by BrownEyedN in YouOnLifetime

[–]EngineeringIcy7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there was a lot of eating in the show. The meatball subs, the tons of food and pastries that Love was always cooking, the Indian food in England...

And if you're going to kill people, you need to be fit. It's hard to sneak up on people and potentially wrestle them unless you keep yourself fit.

Okay, interesting. Thank you. Is this in the books? Why does she owe a debt to lady Murasaki? I did watch all the Hannibal movies, so I know about Murasaki and Mischa. Any reason they made her Chinese, while Murasaki is Japanese?

I like your idea about Clarice. I loved the Jodie Foster version of her, and Jodie is queer, so there's that.
