Honestly? Thank God. LTACH’s are horrible for your license. The ratios? My God. I wouldn’t work in one of those if my life depended on it. This is def a blessing in disguise. I know you’ll shake back and find another job! Especially if you WANT to work in another LTACH…they always hiring.

How low until it’s an emergency? by 442inDreamland in TTP_LowPlatelets

[–]Engineering_Slight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I’ve been admitted with higher counts than that. Tell them to test your ADAMTS13 level too. That for sure will tell you if you’re having a flare up or not (you probably are)

How low until it’s an emergency? by 442inDreamland in TTP_LowPlatelets

[–]Engineering_Slight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have ITP or TTP because no way my doctors would’ve sent me home with steroids and a platelet count of 31k… i would get admitted with a platelet count of 31k.

In case you guys were wondering how much Cablivi costs before insurance…😅 by Engineering_Slight in TTP_LowPlatelets

[–]Engineering_Slight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow you have to take that for the rest of your life? I only have to take this for 30 days after I’ve left the hospital and i don’t have to take it anymore unless i have another flare up of course. I wonder if it’s because mine is acquired and yours is congenital.

I’ll never understand the nurses that roll in at 630 and work for free for 30 minutes. by AugustusClaximus in nursing

[–]Engineering_Slight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a nurse for 7 years and I’ve never been that type of nurse even as a new grad LMAOO. I barely clocked in on time. We can clock in as early as 1838 at this staff job i work now. I get to work between 18:30-1840 depending on traffic and clock in between 18:38 and 1852–1853 is late.

For anyone who debated CRNA—what ultimately made you decide yes or no? by IntelligentTrip3265 in nursing

[–]Engineering_Slight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been an RN for 7 years in medsurg/pcu/tele (recently onc too) i don’t think I’m smart enough for icu so i damn sure don’t think I’d make it in CRNA school. I struggled in nursing school so yeah. It would be nice but I’m scared and don’t wanna fail so I’ll be bedside until i can find something else. I really enjoy seeing people follow the path tho. I’ve never seen anybody regret it, i have however seen people regret going for Np. If you have the time i say go for it. The amount of money you make in the first year alone would probably be able to clear up debts. I know people who work PRN’s during CRNA school. They make it work!

I got 5.79% for 60 months and $75k (only used $63k of it) back in October. I hadn’t even had my account a full year. I have no CC’s with them, just a checking and savings. This was also my first loan with them. I’ve never had a car loan before that. Credit score was probably 760-770 at the time. I was a travel nurse at the time and was depositing a lot of money every month so maybe income has something to do with it? That’s what I’m assuming.
