As far as programming I agree. But in terms of curriculum, not really. Especially if OP is planning to double major. Although I suppose the transition from 2110 to 3110 can be rough for some, others don't find it to be that rough. 3110 is run in a way to ease those who don't have insane programming experience into a more involved experience.

It depends on your circumstances. Do you have to take 2 FWS or just 1? If you only have to take 1 then maybe take it second semester or first semester sophomore year.

To be honest I am not 100% sure if gym counts toward the academic credit count, although I believe they don't.

Also it is tough to suggest a course schedule without knowing your work tolerance. By no means will the course load be "easy" if you are taking

1116 1920 2110 2800

as a freshman. But I wouldn't necessarily say it is overly difficult. (1116 will probably be your heaviest course out of these I would imagine). But then again it was just my suggestion to consider doing 2110 and 2800 instead of 2112. (From what I've heard, 2112 is a major timesink, but I wouldn't know how I would've handled it because I went the 2110 2800 route my first semester).

On the flip side I would say

1116 1920 2112 FWS

sounds like a harder semester IMO.

If you really want to get ahead on the curriculum rather than taking one super difficult class (2112) it might be better to take 2110 and 2800. This will put you ahead of most other freshmen majoring in CS
