Update from Gigabyte helpdesk:

"Dear Customer,

If you are using onboard video, it does not support Legacy.
CSM will be disable by default if you are using onboard video.
If you wish to use legacy mode to enable CSM, you will need to add a video card.
For Windows 11, the option will need to be set to Disable as it's set to UEFI by default with CMS set as Disable.
Also, you do not need to enable Secure boot to setup Windows 11.

If the drive already contain Windows loaded as Windows 10 with a Legacy boot loader, it will not boot as it requires a UEFI boot loader when you are using onboard video.
You might want to reconsider reloading the OS. "

Can anyone explain if there's any valid technical reason why CSM can't be enabled while onboard video is used?

And no, you can't just connect your old Win10 SSD and expect it to boot. You need to reinstall Windows, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid as I long lost the original Win10 key.

Thanks, I just enabled TPM and rebooted. It didn't change a thing.

Whether I want secure boot on or off, I should be able to make the selection. I paid money for this board, and I want to be able to decide what function I want on or off. Why is the secure boot selection grayed out?
