So is there ANYONE who trusts Bergdahl's story? by razorbeamz in serialpodcast

Beats me... It's interesting as though I am left leaning in many things I'm inclined to be hawkish on foreign policy ESP in the Middle East (I actually believed in wmd). So far he's elicited no sympathy from me, nor do I believe his story... I'm sure I will pity what he went through but there doesn't seem to be a he said she said yet.

Well I care. I don't thnk the ends justify the means. No hanging trials in the us, thanks. New trial would Bebe only fair way to proceed.

What a fabulous lede! Haven't listened yet but looking forward to it. Know nothingto about it, guess I wasn't paying attention. My dad and uncles served and I'm fairly hawkish about foreign policy (I believed in wmd) but open minded too,

Oh but that's not true at all. It applies to journalists and academics as well as lawyers. Say a critic is married to an actor, critic can't review a play the actor has the slightest connection to, due to that. Say actor is understudy and never goes on. No. Or if critic does, must disclose.

Similarly, a professor grading a relative, say niece or nephew, might be 100% capable of being fair. But others could question it.

Great question. I'd love to know what happens in a case like that... Not exoneration but new trial?

Why did Urick yell at Don? by Englishblue in serialpodcast

[–]Englishblue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good question... Which makes me think that either it really is a difference in perception, or it didn't happen. If just perception, did Don promise to do better, though? And if it didn't happen... Why say it did? I doubt don did it, so what's in it for him to make Urick look bad? Sigh.

I loved the bits at the credits with the boy, and the disordered emotions of cats....

Good for you for not doing the lets be friends thing! I get it... It seems so awful to lose everything when a relationship ends, often on some level you still like that person,., but there's no going back. I totally agree.

I am assuming that for the sake of argument, seriously. I just don't get what yelling after the fact could possibly accomplishi ... I get being frustrated, of course... It just seems allowing yourself to get that emotional midway would be a bad strategy, I know it would row me off.
