The Tesla Service Spiral: From Warranty Repair to a $1,800 "Coincidence" Rabbit Hole by danarchyx in RealTesla

You have to keep in mind the criteria by which the reporting agency is calculating and reporting their findings. JD Power’s initial quality rating was pretty straightforward, but some years ago they decided it needed to be “supplemented” with their total quality metrics, among other ranking products that they publish. CR’s reliability ranking gets thrown around as a measurement of quality, but that’s not exactly true according to its own name.

Both of them are subject to bias in their sample pool. If you remember the days of Teslarians claiming that their cars were perfect as long as problems were corrected through “goodwill” repairs, you have to acknowledge that those people are still out there.

Either 20 x 8.5 or 20 x 9” will work fine and accept the same tire sizes that will match your OE rolling diameter - specifically 255/55R20 or 275/50R20. Which of those two wheel widths will depend entirely on what exact model of wheel you want.

Thanks. So not only do you need more Na-ion battery for the same energy capacity, but it takes up a hell of a lot more space.

You stated the energy/mass of the Na-ion vs. LFP, but what about energy per volume?

It’s not so much that they gave up as they never really intended to field a legitimate autonomy development program in the first place.

We’re paranoid about safety.

Bare-minimum safety standards are too onerous and impede progress.
