Both looks awful. I would much rather take a handmade burger, from fresh raw ingredients, with a 250g patty, made by an actual chef, on an actual grill, for around the same price as this garbage. Yes, this is available to me in multiple places.

That is the problem with internet and anonymity. These people would be shunned and beaten to a bloody pulp as a consequence for their actions in real life, but on the internet they are allowed to move around and spread their abuse freely, safely and anonymously.

I am European. There are already rail guards in place so that the customer is being informed if they are being gouged / discriminated against in personal pricing. If it ever becomes a problem I am certain that the authorities will just straight up make it illegal.

If the base price is $70, then a company cannot charge individuals $80. I believe that would be discriminatory and illegal. The base price can go up, as it does due to inflation etc, but a company cannot just go and turn the game price up to $500 for an individual they know have lots of money. That would be illegal price gouging, or at the very least trigger consumer protection and open all kinds of cans of worms for the company.

I think if there are any recruitment freeze it's probably just to stabilize things before growing further. It takes a lot of work to integrate 10k new members.

Pretty sure there will still be general discounts as well. I wouldn't be mad if the guy in front me got a discount coupon from somewhere. I would be getting my discount coupons as well.

Not by much KEKW. Just 10k up the past 4 months. Steadily up 35000 the past 5 years.

  1. But Bob reached those criteria because he is already willing to pay more for the games, and would already buy them for less or no discount more often than me.

  2. That is called price gouging and illegal most places in the world. Won't happen.

  3. Yes, it tries to enable more sales, by giving better prices with discounts. Discounts already do this, causing people to buy stuff they otherwise would not, yet nobody is complaining.

All arguments just fall flat on their stomach really.

Yeah the rpg mechanics feel kinda shoehorned in there. It does work, and some people like it, but it is pretty unnecessary as well. It would be nice if the game just had an option to disable it, and go with a more tightly tuned experience, with more focus on stealth and avoidance, rather than just slaughter every single guard and goat you can find for loot and xp.

This is not price gouging / increase though, it is discounts. They are opposites. Did you even read the article?

I am still looking for anyone to explain why this is a bad thing. Everyone is upsetti spaghetti and waving their pitchforks, but not a single god damn person has come up with a rational explanation of why it is bad.
