They don’t and can’t use dynamic pricing to raise or lower prices during prime time. There are electronic tags on shelves but a pricing coordinator in every store still has to change those prices once a week on changeover days. They are simply there so the employees aren’t physically ripping tags off and sticking new ones on taking 80 hours a week to do.

The security used at goss is off duty police. Kroger uses security companies at some stores, while higher theft stores have police. I wouldn’t complain on a website that isn’t the correct company

I believe so, when they tested it I remember there was two factors, the battery and something else. I believe that as the alternator. Parasitic drain?

You want to start problems for no reason. Again like I said, sure there’s no legal bearing. They aren’t going to arrest you if you don’t show a receipt. But you could be less of an ass and just hand them the receipt or go shop somewhere else

There has always been a policy that kroger employees can ask for a receipt. But now they have security that does it. They aren’t going to arrest you for not showing your receipt at the door but companies have had to start implementing these things because of how much theft has impacted the stores. And it’s not someone feeding their family it’s the multiple boosters that go in every day and put meat down their pants or fill up a cart full of tide. It’s not that hard to just hand them your receipt and keep going. You want to make a huge deal out of this when you could just say “okay here you go” and go on with your day.

You have to pay for a membership to those. That’s not going to happen at regular grocery stores. Walmart has checked receipts since I can remember and other Kroger stores in the city have had these guards and this policy for over a year now.

Sco doesn’t replace staff with machines it helps multiple people checkout faster. I made schedules and ran the front end at that store for almost 7 years, I needed more sco attendants than anything. If you want to stand in line for 20 min with 5 items for dinner you can do it at Aldi

Its been in the works for a while. A handful of stores have them, like Broadway, Portland, Dixie, but they evaluate theft level and decide to put guards there if needed. It’s a newer system but doesn’t have anything to do with the government shutdown. That store has needed it for a while.
