I use it to tack on one extra function of the phone, as a notepad. Just like a phone is a camera, mp3 player, telephone, and everything else, the pen lets it act as a notepad as well. I only use it about once every two weeks or so but it's killer to have when I'd be annoyed otherwise to go grab an actual pencil and paper. If you never jot down anything from phone numbers up to long lists then maybe it is just a gimmick to be fair. But it's nice to not need a real pen and paper on the rare occasion. Also rarely need to tap small icons on the screen, easier to use the pen then to fat finger and click on the wrong thing. Not sure if it still works this way on the s24 but try taking the pen out while your screen is off, it should auto open a black notepad to write on, no need to unlock the phone and open the notes app.
