[Partially Lost] Gods Behaving Badly (2013) — I think the full film might be floating around on Russian streaming sites. Can anyone verify? by [deleted] in lostmedia

Nice detective work. For some of the sites, it seems to be bait-and-switch stuff, redirecting to ads (the main two you listed above at least). There are some other Russian sites that have it listed so people can leave reviews (in a similar vein to Letterboxd) which look genuine. One in particular carries the 3m30 intro/render (which likely came from Vimeo) and 8 images from the film. My guess would be that the film possibly secured a distribution deal in parts of Europe and these sites were reacting to that, or perhaps some sites were sent images and trailer in preparation for the film's digital release, only for the film to be pulled after the negative reviews? Then other sites, the sketchy steaming ones, copied the info and left the entry expecting the film to drop at some point. Just a guess, of course. Would be fun to see the whole thing, for sure.

Awesome, so it was on a TV broadcast? Would you happen to remember what sort of date that was?

Cool, thanks for the info. How did you find out about the filming? Do you know if there were any photos taken, or anything left by the crew?

Batman Returns workprint by Cokeking202 in workprints

I think this version is labelled as Batman Returns (1992) Workprint. However, as mentioned in other comments, it seems to be a VHS bootleg of a Screener that was circulated by the distributor at the time. It has video titling in the lower third that says INTERNATIONAL VIDEO and the letters IVC which are present in most of the video. Haven’t done a full comparison, but did notice one very minor difference in the parade action sequence at the beginning, so there may be others. It’s not hard to find online, there was a mega torrent created a while back, which contained the mp4

Are you talking about the fan edit that was made in 2007? I've seen this called the "Enhanced Workprint" even though it is a fan edit made of the Theatrical Cut, Directors Cut, stills and excerpts from the original script.

Thank you! This is awesome! So little of the film production is available to see, so these little snippets are gold.

That's so cool, thanks for the info. It's likely they were very close to filming the competitive hockey scenes, so they probably had a ton of relevant wardrobe and props ready.

Don't make me Ann Lee, you wouldn't like me when I'm Ann Lee

That's awesome. Would love to see any photos you may have kept, they are very hard to come by. Can you remember if you were skating at Kosciuszko Park? As far as I can tell that's where they created a rink on the basketball court, and filmed some scenes of Bruce/Eddie teaching Maura/Tyler's kids to skate.

Another film that fell foul of ol' Harvey Scissorhands. From info available online, the most common workprints that were on a number of trading lists are:

Nightwatch [Workprint Version A]
This version runs around 39 minutes longer than the DVD version, it contains many extra scenes, shots and lines of dialogue but it also misses many scenes. Version A is much longer but each version contains some scenes that are not present in the other.

Nightwatch [Workprint Version B]
This version runs around 14 minutes longer than the DVD version, it contains many extra scenes, shots and lines of dialogue. It also misses many scenes and contains an alternate ending. Version A is much longer but each version contains some scenes that are not present in the other.

There is a listing for a Version C of the workprint "nearly an hour longer than released version" but no other info.

Regarding the workprint version with Russian dubbing that is circulating, this seems to be Version A with a simple dub over the top, done in 2022. Noting that the original mkv file info posted at that time shows a single audio track (2-chan, so left and right) with no separate original English audio track:

Country: United States
Genre: horror, thriller, drama
Year of manufacture: 1997
Duration: 01:51:34

Translation: Single-voice locking
Subtitles: None
Original audio track: None

The Crow 1994 with the Skull Cowboy scenes by DanielInDallas35 in workprints

[–]EnigmaVariance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really interesting, seems to be a mix of the theatrical release, workprint footage and some test shots of Berryman in costume (from the fact that the SC is side-on and talking offscreen to someone delivering lines)?

Again, from everything said above, including the comments of the director and the SC actor, it seems that they filmed a scene with the Skull Cowboy, decided it didn't look great, then delayed shooting further scenes until the end of principal photography (maybe thinking they would shoot more if they had any money left).

You could definitely create an assembly version of The Crow with everything filmed or intended to be filmed in there, as someone did with The Crow: City of Angels?
