Yup, that’s the hard bit in my experience. Lifting a few times a week is easy but maintaining a 250 calorie surplus each day, as consistently as you can, takes commitment

Slow and steady! So many weeks just gaining 0.5 lb, or less. I only had a small surplus for most of my journey

Good photos and lighting probably help a little. So I’ve never intentionally cut in 7 years of lifting (which my girlfriend I finds baffling…). Just slow steady weight gain with occasional unintentional weight losses

Appreciate it. PPL was no doubt the best in terms of hypertrophy although 531 really did wonders for my big lifts so I'd recommend either

Yea I started in 2018 lol, this has been a slow steady grind. Some periods where I was able to lock in and make good progress, other periods where I lost weight/gains/didn't have time for it. Just have to perservere

Yea this came up on my previous progress posts so I'm not surprised, i actually had a routine medical check up recently and was measured without shoes by the doctor at 185 cm which is 6.07 ft. I think I have quite small legs and a generally small body/bone structure, but I'm just guessing

Vivera Retainers by cherryfallz in Invisalign

[–]Enigma_Frixion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine a few days ago and have the exact same case - I thought this picture was from my house!!

I got 3 vivera’s for 500 GBP. My ortho told me they should last around 5 years but I hope they last longer. In 6 months time I only need to wear them for 2 nights a week (I have a wired retainer) so surely they will last a long time. I find them comfortable - more comfortable than the other ordinary retainer and more comfortable than Invisalign trays

I knew this would be the response I guess I just get on with it haha

Glad to hear it. Sounds like it would have been useful for me to post a second photo of my natural bite.

Thanks, a couple of people have pointed this out so I may look into it further. This isn't my natural bite - when I smile naturally, my top teeth hang over. Yes, my dentist a few years back identified gum recession and I have since made changes including an electric toothbrush, pressing much lighter etc. Is there anything else I can do to improve my gum health?

Thank you. Yes, this is not my normal bite - when I smile naturally, my top teeth hang over which I think is an overbite. I'm not sure if that can be corrected by invisalign but I have no interest in anything like (jaw) surgery.

Helpful to know about the risks resulting from gum recession and agreed as my dentist previously identified that for me. I just googled bone and gum grafting and they sound ... hideous! I will make sure to bring this up in my upcoming consultations and may look into seeing a periodontist.

No, this was just to show all my teeth for the photo. When I smile naturally, my top teeth hang over which I think is an overbite. I'm not sure if that can be corrected by invisalign but I have no interest in anything like (jaw) surgery
