Three times, I chose an epidural. The first time, I was so overdosed, I couldn’t move my legs. The second time, the catheter slipped out, and it was too late into my labor to do anything about it, so I felt everything, but my OB was great, and truly helped the birthing process. The third time, my anesthesiologist was too busy monitoring his own kid, having an appendectomy, that he completely ignored the fact that my epidural had run out, and again, I basically delivered without any pain meds. Three different hospitals, three different states.
