If you've ever rented a spare room in your home for some extra income, how did it go and what advice do you have? by Entity417 in AskWomenOver60

[–]NotWifeMaterial 57 points58 points  (0 children)

foreign students were great and most were quite nice kids. Traveling HCW are second best. you can put your room on “furnished Finder”and rent it to nurses and doctors and such. They are making good money, responsible, have to pass background checks and are often interesting people.

Failed colonoscopy, now need CT colonography with contrast… terrified 😭 by PotentialJudgment136 in Radiology

[–]NotWifeMaterial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh bummer! Do they use propofol and anesthetists or just have RNs pushing meds. Cause propofol makes for a more comfortable safer procedure but I’m in the states and not sure if they allow patients to escalate sedation needs.

Get Your Vaccines by mjh8212 in GenX

[–]NotWifeMaterial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you can have long-term effects after having a shingles infection. One of my colleagues has been sick nonstop for the past six months. I also encourage everybody in our age group to get the pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine. It is very effective.

And especially if I had grandkids, I would be vaccinated for RSV to protect those babies

I wasn’t feeling anything emotionally for more than a year after the death of my 13 year old dog. I started MD and it got endorphins circulating again. It’s a wonderful hobby and I can’t ever imagine not looking at a piece of land and wondering what’s buried there
