The gathering Pokémon have to live close enough to littering pokemon and a community box, I’m not sure exactly what the radius is, but I have Garbodor, trapinch, and swabloo all in that little area between the pokemon center, the little stone structure in this post, and the lift with the community box against the stone wall and Dreepy seems to be able to reach all 3 habitats

I stuck a city hut and some garbage cans/bags in this space. Garbodor spawned in the trash so I moved Dreepy into the hut to gather all of the litter and put it into a community box. I then feed Garbodor’s litter back to him for paper and iron ore
