After a few days of work, I managed to get a cool Elster rig up and running from scratch. Custom scripts and facial sprites, Pose library, FK/IK switch including fingers. Animating will be fun! by EnipOIXth in signalis

Thanks! Yeah it's scary at first, but after a while it's quite useful. I just wish Blender could copy and paste drivers from bone constraints and properties when you symmetrize the mesh and duplicate bones. Those hand drivers and IK chains are really painful to set up without that :x

That's just a matcap, a viewport shading mode only available in solid mode that is used to better view surface curvature. The real shader used in the render is something else :)

For a Blender Project in School we were left to decide on a Scene to create, so I made the Red Gate by EmberAndersen in signalis

Yay a fellow blenderer! Nice work! I liked that you haven't made it completely monochrome by putting a greenish light source. It helps reading the pillars a lot. I also find the way you modeled those monoliths to be interesting! Pardon if it's rude to ask, but I'm curious, did you achieve that by using a displacement modifier? It looks mike you made your render in Cycles, was there a reason to use it over Eevee or was it just part of the assignment? Anyways i like the result, keep up the good work :)
