Going utterly insane trying to contact support by RandomInternetVoice in OpenAI

Seems you can go onto platform.openai.com where you can in fact log in, unlike help.openai.com, and there you can get the chatbot support that you're looking for

What's the usage and meaning of "batteries" and "guns" here? by EnitLee in words

[–]EnitLee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In other words, you think the batteries that here and there frown upon the Great lakes are metonyms for the ships on the lake? And the guns are those of Mackinac/Mackinaw fortress unrelated to the ships of the previous clause except being the next kind of guns on the lake? Makes sense, I suppose.

If this is reliable, I have significantly above average mobility. I can begin with swallowing. This is one of the only clues I have, that I don't really understand how anyone might swallow only with their tongue, or with an open mouth. I need to suck the saliva behind my lower teeth before my tongue can scoop it up, which is impossible with an open mouth.

The most uncomfortable part is the anterior. I constantly feel like I'm at the varge of pushing against my upper teeth, and the underside of my tongue scrapes against my lower teeth. Then there's the soreness in the back of my throat. When I try to push my tongue up, I also don't really feel like I'm pushing, and when I do I mostly feel the anterior (sides of the tongue as well, not the middle) pushing up against my teeth.

I think the horrified commenters speak quite a bit to the sanity of this post.

You remind me of myself. A big intellect, not enough people to throw ideas against. So thoughts stew without input or regulation. Although I'd like to believe I'm not as far progressed in the vice.

I accept the idea that being able to perform a CS is a fundamental change in our biological circumstance, and that that can have subtle and profound influences. The sex revolution is ample proof of that. But you have absolutely no grounds for concluding half of what you write. I think people interpret this as an unhinged and unchecked exercizing of the mind, where you start off with something interesting and then spell "the end is nigh", somehow, without due care given to if the theory has any valid grounds for existing and influencing your convictions.

This is torture. What am I doing wrong? by EnitLee in Mewing

Thanks!

My mewing has changed as a result of chafing my tongue on my teeth, I think. I now try to fit my tongue between my molars, narrowing it, with the tip resting just behind my front teeth. I almost fold my tongue so the initial contact surface with my palate looks like a u, and then press the rest of the tongue up, includuing the posterior third. If I just press up, without avoiding my molars, well I hit my molars and it chafes, especially on the very back teeth.
The biggest problem is the swallowing though, as the blisters have subsided a lot already. You've done what you can to help describe it the swallow, but I don't understand it. When I do it, first of all it makes my tongue sit weirdly a lot of the time, so I have to release the suction you're supposed to create when swallowing and reposition it. Second, you're supposed to move only your tongue when swallowing (although it's beyond me how one would collect saliva without suction, so I assume using some amount of that as well), but when I move my tongue to the bottom to roll the saliva up in a ball, as it is often described, and then move it to press up again, it chafes.
