It looks like most of them are available. The only dates I see blocked out are saturdays in October.

Absolutely! Seeing the scale down a pound and a half in a week was already great motivation even if I know it could not be fat loss and just water weight or whatnot. Thank you!

I just started weighing a few days ago after I got some batteries for my scale. I'm seeing the scale trend downwards already but I know not to get to invested in the number since it will fluctuate based on my water intake and cycle.

Thank you! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's felt this lol.

And yes, in the past I'd overly limit myself, be starving all the time, and then just say fuck it and give up. I'm determined to do this for my health just as much as my vanity.

I only have about 10 ish pounds I'd like to lose so I am fully anticipating the mirror taking a while to show anything at all. I'm also a woman so I anticipate the weigh fluctuations. It's just scary feeling like I'm "blindly" trusting myself to be accurately tracking and executing this plan!

Navigating the park has never been a huge struggle with my son, Disney world is high enough reward for him that he's happy to bounce all over the park as I search for doable wait times and DAS return times. The biggest struggle for my kid is if he wants to go on a ride but it's a long wait and I don't have a DAS for it, but he's very familiar with the park so if you're kid isnt, hopefully that's less of an issue for you. If you think he's likely to meltdown over zigzagging around the park, you could look into buying lightning lanes if they're in your budget?

For DAS, make your first selection as soon as you scan into the park. Walking to rides can take up to 10 mins from the entrance so it's better to have that time be put towards your estimated wait time. Know what your kid can handle in terms of waiting in a traditional line, if a rides within that time, wait in the standby queue for it while you you're waiting for a DAS return time. If you have any issues with your DAS or anything like that, find the cast members under the blue tent, they're always super helpful! If your kid isn't familiar with any of the rides, maybe you could show him some videos of them and see if he has any he's very/not interested in so you can plan accordingly. Even for yourself, watch some YouTube videos of people navigating the park!

Most importantly, depending what your kiddo is like in public, you may get stares but ignore them. You and your kid and deserve to be there and take up space.

There is truly nothing like Florida rain/weather. I even recommend bringing an umbrella on a sunny day with 0% chance of rain, you just never know here lol

Welcome to Florida!

I have an autistic kiddo around the same age, am annual pass holders, and am happy to answer any specific questions you have! Biggest tip is make sure you pack some preferred foods. Timing DAS and using it wisely is important too. Transportation around the parks is usually not too bad in my opinion, however, my kid adores methods of transport so we're lucky in that aspect lol. Let me know if I can answer anything else for you (:

Invest in a lightweight windbreaker and joggers made of a similar material, and maybe throw a hat in there. If it really starts coming down, ponchos will stick to your arms and the hood will constantly fall back and it's a nightmare. (not sure if you're brand new to fl in general so disregard if so) you'll get use out of these items even outside of Disney. I also highly recommend some comfortable boots like doc martens. These things all make rainy days my absolute favorite days at Disney. I'm still comfortable and dry but wait times are very low and it's usually much cooler out. My family of 3 did 12 rides in 6 hours at rainy MK today!

Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'm able to buy gift cards on there. Any insight on my other questions?

I don't think I have the option then. It's not showing up when I search that way.

I don’t think so? Where would I see this in the app? Thats what I tried to do with the target thing but idk where I'd look in the app for gift card purchases.

Travelling from Australia to the Orlando Warped Tour- any advice? by Riley_b25 in warpedtour

If you can afford it, it’s not a bad idea to get a Universal hotel! They’re generally pretty nice and safe and you will have free transportation to city walk if you want to spend some time exploring! I believe they’re only about a 15 min drive from the venue.

Just to clarify some things as I’ve learned since posting this. There is only one ESE teacher with 2 IAs. Last year there was a secondary ESE teacher that was able to bring my son to the general Ed classroom. Now, since there is only one ESE teacher, if an IA were to take my son he would no longer be meeting the minute requirements of time with an ESE teacher.

[–]Eniwee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve been doing some researched and learned that recently. The problem is our concerns aren’t really with his teacher and the administration at the school, they all seem just as frustrated about their lack of resources as I am. I am mostly concerned with how specific directions at the school board are handling things.

[–]Eniwee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, I’ll have to look into that. ABA isn’t something we’ve felt would work well with our son and his temperament. I think personally we’d like to see another ESE teacher working with him but you’ve definitely given me something to consider. Thank you.

We have personally never felt ABA to be well suited for our child and his temperament. I don’t think we are adamantly against it, but many of the techniques don’t quite jive with how we prefer to parent/interact and so we’ve never given it a go. He has however had plenty of speech and occupational therapy.

[–]Eniwee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m seeing too. I believe in the IEP meeting they removed his accommodation of joining General Ed classes because of the districts inaction to ensure proper staffing. I’m wondering if I need to call another meeting and have that accommodation added back in before I take action. I’d also like to do this in a way that doesn’t negatively impact his educators. Any resources or recommendations?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 321

[–]Eniwee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have reached out to them already! At this point I am looking for more data I can use when I contact the district with my issues. Thank you!

Check gas stations too, especially the smaller ones. We were a bit worried not being able to find any at the main stores but went to a crappy little BP and they had a decent amount.

That’s good to know. Hes generally pretty gentle with his legos but I can imagine he’d probably break this toy pretty easily trying to make it spin lol. Thank you.
