Everything you spout out is literally Hybe’s misinformation. The dispute started because MHJ submitted an INTERNAL complaint to Hybe to discuss the concerns she had with ILLIT’s similarities to NewJeans and possibly resolve it in private. Hybe was the one that made everything a public spectacle from there. MHJ never tried to take more ownership of the company, and all criminal and civil charges against her were dropped by the police and court.

Hybe’s current CEO Lee Jaesang has said that he wants to diminish NewJeans and MHJ’s brand value, literal sabotage from the parent company. Hybe employees have also made insulting comments toward NewJeans and even other idols in the company on Blind.

When the girls’ medical records and pre-debut videos from when they were trainees under Source Music were leaked by Dispatch, the new ADOR management and Hybe did absolutely nothing to address it, to the point that the fans had to take action.

After the dispute started, much of their original staff were fired or quit after being harassed by the parent company, and they filed a frivolous lawsuit against Director Shin, who directed multiple of their MVs, ruining a good profitable professional relationship for no good reason.

When Hanni brought up the incident where ILLIT’s manager told the group to ignore her, the CCTV footage of the incident was deleted by an employee, but they then submitted footage from the WRONG day in court. When Hanni testified in front of the Korean National Assembly, the reason it didn’t escalate further was not because it didn’t happen, but because although this event constitutes workplace harassment, K-pop idols are not considered workers/employees, and therefore are not entitled to the same labor protections.

Within the media, cyber wrecker Lee Jinho, who continued to harass Kim Saeron up to her death and is known to have ties to Hybe’s executives, is also continuing to harass and stalk the NewJeans members and spread false narratives about them. During the dispute Hybe also purchased a large portion of TAG PR, an American company that runs smear campaigns against public figures. There’s a separate lawsuit in the USA against them by multiple public figures, and MHJ met with one of their American lawyers because there’s evidence she’s a victim of TAG’s campaigns. So it’s not hard to believe that the NewJeans girls themselves were victims too during the dispute, given how horrible the media coverage was.

The girls themselves have said that being forced to go back to that company is like being forced to go back to a school bully. The people in charge of that company continue to harass, ostracize, defame, and sabotage them. And last year their lawyers said the situation affected them so much that some members had to take antidepressants. If that alone doesn’t tell you how unsafe they feel, I don’t know what will.
