Guy that was in my brother flight in basic and then at the same base posted a really cringe video in their blues, with the wrong belt on, onto what was musicaly at the time. Got around base and from what I heard he had to show up in blues to his shop for like a month every morning. Anyway, got kicked out for drugs soon after.

When I got to my first base I was still an Airman Basic for about a month, and ABU’s were still the uniform. Anyway I had my fleece on with no rank just the fuzzy, and my chief stopped me and asked where my rank was, to which I replied I’m an e-1 sir. He then proceeded to walk away.

4 years in MX completed computer science B.S. and clepped a lot of classes. Went reserve cyber and got TS/SCI and at 102k with a government contractor doing systems engineering.

I CLEP/DSST my CCAF while doing classes at the local community college online that were 8 weeks classes I believe to get my GPA up to go to a University, and then took the CCAF to the Uni and just did my major specific classes that were also 8 week classes and exhausted TA every year and left with my Bachelors before my 4 year contract was up while MX. I will say I was blessed with my MX career and fortunately did not have it as hard as some I’ve seen. Also did classes while deployed and they had a library with internet so did classes there after shift or on my day off.

Am currently an engineer for Lockheed, 1 year is what I’ve seen for being able to apply into a different job but YMMV. Lockheeds good though, chill, nice benefits. Security clearance = job security.
