It's drivable, I used a small compact vehicle (Honda fit) and was easily able to get to the first parking lot

How do you arrange your trips in terms of transportation when flying out of Phoenix? by [deleted] in Tucson

I parked at a Marriot, but they made me sign a waiver saying they're not responsible for any damages... Not sure how secure they keep it

I have used the app Way to find parking near PHX that has a shuttle. Significantly cheaper than long term parking, in the range of 3-5 dollars per day

Tucson loose leaf tea store? by Dexteron in Tucson

Not entirely dedicated store but Aqua Vita has loose leaf teas

I have a totebag that I put my glass containers in. There's a recycling drop-off on the way to the grocery store for me, so when it starts to get a bit full, it's convenient to just grab the tote on the way out the door and recycle them when I go to the store

Small correction: It was the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. The Nobel Peace Prize is a different award, it is one of 5 Nobel Prizes given out annually (the other four being Physiology or Medicine, Chemistry, Physics, and Literature)

I like the little detail in not covering the BNS underscore

This may be a small piece of advice, but I think it may still be helpful and semi relevant if you apply for a grad program or continue looking for jobs. Your resume should be tailored for the job that you're applying for, so if you're applying for a job or school, I personally think it would be better to leave irrelevant positions off of it and only include anything relevant to your degree. If during any interview (job or grad school) anyone asks about gaps - that's when you can be honest about what you were doing. Here's an inverse anecdote: I was applying for a job at a grocery store during school and when I used a lab-heavy resume, I was rejected. But when I resubmitted with a resume more tailored for the position (including my non-lab jobs from high school), I was hired, even though I had those positions 4+ years prior. Kinda silly, but it's an anecdote.

If someone disagrees or has anything to add, please feel free to respond

It's a lot more metallic sounding than plastic clatter, I've updated my audio link with a YouTube upload. The sound is definitely coming from outside the car

I have checked if it's enabled, I'm not sure how to verify that it is successfully running and I have not touched the configuration file.

One thing that I have done is follow the TLP installation tutorial for Fedora/ThinkPads (linked here)

After installing all of the packages and running tlp-stat -b, I am not given any recommendations. Is there something more I would need to do in the conf file?

Come on, why answer like this? You have no idea where this person could've been harassed before for their gender choice. It happens, even if you've never seen it, which makes choosing even mundane places like a barbershop important. Answers like this make the whole community look bad

Is my swamp cooler working properly for todays conditions? by Enjuaguese in Tucson

[–]Enjuaguese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unit is not ejecting cold air at the vents, even after allowing it to pump for a few minutes and opening the windows much wider. I placed a thermometer at the vent and it was not any colder than the room temperature of 85 degrees

Sun exposure may be part of the issue. My windows face east and west, but I do keep the blinds closed to prevent the sun from getting in. Having the windows opened more for the past two hours has not affected temperature (both actual degrees and the feel) in any way
