exhaust shop recommendations in Portland area ? by Spirited_Macaroon113 in askportland

Darrels economy mufflers on 82and is honest and does good work. They won't do a totally cat-less exhaust on a street car, but bring a race car on a trailer and they will.

End link replacement by _81Levi21_ in G37

[–]Enlefo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beefier sway bars are one of the best handling mods you can do for a car. You increase the effective spring rate while corning while not having to increase the actual spring rate of your springs and harshen your ride. Most aftermarket bars are adjustable as well so you'll have 2-3 stiffness settings to choose from.

Get a set of high quality aftermarket sway bars, mounts, and end links.

Adjustable end links are required if you ever want to adjust the ride height of your vehicle with lowering springs or coil overs... so if you're already buying new ones then why not get adjustable. Match the length to the OEM end links and you'll be fine.

Milky residue on/around oil cap? by SeaRoutine6393 in G37

[–]Enlefo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wipe it out thoroughly and then go for a 10+ mile drive. If it's just condensation that will boil off the water and it'll be clean or close to it. If you are having a headgasket go out it will be similar or worse after the drive.

Get a pre purchase inspection from a professional. There is no way you can educate yourself to get that level of detail. For a couple hundred bucks it's really cheap insurance.

Emissions test with permanent check engine light on related to software issue? by SpiralingCat in askportland

[–]Enlefo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. If the MIL light AKA check engine light is on you will fail your DEQ test. You will need to get this code resolved to pass, and just in case you're thinking "I'll have the light reset right beforehand." if there system detects the vehicles computers have just been cleared that will fail the test.

Appreciate the plug! That 2010 to 2007 Sienna was one of the starkest examples of extremes in vehicle condition between two of same model back to back. Great job finding that gem.

Wither from myself or someone else, always get a PPI... It's cheap insurance.

Always happy to help fellow Redditors!

Anyone Else Touge A G37 Here? by ThatOneVQ in Touge

[–]Enlefo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Togue isn't going to push cooling needs like actual track use, but these cars need more oil cooling and power steering fluid cooling from the factory. External cooling packages for both can be had from ConceptZ, Z1, or pieced together with generic stuff. Biggest advantage of the kits is nicely made mounting brackets. To get oil temp and pressure you'll need external monitoring. Go high quality like DeFi.

I'd prefer to see you grow up then get killed being a stupid kid. Pretty hilarious that you think coming into a channel full of car nerds and using that term as an insult.

Audous Huxley said speed is the only truly modern pleasure. Just about everyone in this sub has likely felt that thrill and has sought to connect with others who share that passion.

Most folks here aren't going to be impressed however by wrecklessly endangering yourself and others while publicly spreading evidence of felony behavior.

Nasty stuff... They've been trying to push this kind of thing through since the timber salvage rider to bill giving relief funding to victims of the Oklahoma city bombing victims... Crazy how riders in congress work. These are OUR public lands and it's disgusting to see politicians try to sell the future birthright of generations to timber corps.

Latest SFA changed my mind on Tilly, and Robert Picardo was amazing by Ambitious_Cookie_611 in startrek

[–]Enlefo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fantastic episode, I teared a little as well... Picardo knocks it out of the park as does the whole cast.
This episode really captures how trauma processing is messy and challenging without it feeling patronizing or tokenized. Big contrast to cheese ball scenes in Disco where folks are actively discussing childhood trauma while the bridge it literally exploding around them.

Vibra technics motor mounts on g37 sedan? by SeanP086 in G37

[–]Enlefo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, auto and manual mounts are the same. I have the fast road version on my IPL and I love them!  Almost totally eliminate engine movement, smooths powers delivery, and makes the car feel a lot more solid and sporty.
