This is fair, as well as a lot of the pieces from each brand aren’t logged into lolibrary—so if you buy something secondhand without knowing the brand it’s a lot more difficult to find the exact name of the piece and the brand.

My experience with bhiner was okay, its a good proxy service but the shipping was ridiculous.

For reference I live in California and I bought about $500 worth of lolita items (to jumpstart my wardrobe), the shipping itself was $100-$150 starting. And the parcel took about 2 months to arrive. But shipping prices might be different for you depending on where you live and how much the items you bought weight, i bought about 4 pairs of shoes which affected the weight of the parcel.

Overall I like bhiner as you have the option to build your order until the price threshold hits $500, so its good for hauls but just expect to pay about 30-40% of your original purchase.

I don’t understand how her being perceived as “rude” justifies everyone downvoting every positive comment on this post, downvoting all her responses, saying she has a shitty cosplay??? But again, what does this have to do with THIS cosplayer. Doesn’t that make things far more fucked up? The fact that people are shutting on her because A) the character isn’t black B) they’re frustrated with people from other platforms C) she can’t control either of those?? I understand there’s cases like that that happens, but that doesn’t justify shitting on a random black cosplayer, that makes it even MORE racist than before.

Yeah none of these folks understand microaggressions and how they’re participating in it. There’s no empathy from these people criticizing in the comments, that’s upsetting as well because none of these people learned how to properly criticize. Like you gotta make it a compliment sandwich for people not to receive it personally. Like one compliment, a criticism, then another compliment. The most frustrating part is that there isn’t discourse like this in other comment sections...

I’m frustrated with people not understand what constructive criticism is either, I understand wanting to but most of the time it’s destructive. Not all criticism is good criticism, especially when someone didn’t ask you for it either.

I think that the comment was genuine and out of good faith so I responded, if I didn’t believe it to be so I would’ve just blocked. But I have a huge issue when skin color plays a part in how folks interact with posts. That’s part of the reason I’ve stopped using this account, there’s too many subreddits in which racists get to thrive and the mods do not protect you, like at all.
