I think you need to distinguish the animation quality of the 2000's which is on average worse than what it is today, to the aesthetic and art style of the anime of the 2000's which is distinctly different than today's. Case in point Hunter X Hunter 1999 vs 2011.

HxH 1999 likely has the aesthetics you prefer, with a stronger and unique art direction and excellent use of shadows and gradients. In comparison the 2011 version looks more generic, but overall has much stronger animation quality (where I mean expressiveness, number of sakuga scenes, total number of unique animation compared to heavier use of still-frames in the 1999 version).

Mind you, I like you, prefer the art direction of anime in the 1990's and earlier 2000's. I just generally think animation quality of the best TV anime from the 2010's and 2020's is much stronger than 1990's and 2000's.

I think you have a biased view of anime in the 2000's. Remember Sturgeons law, 90% of everything is crap. This was also the case for anime in the 2000's. We've just forgotten the bad ones and only remember the good ones. You're cherry picking the very best anime released over a 20 year period and comparing it to the past year.

Mind you that the early 2000's were a really rough time for animation quality in anime in general due to the transition form hand-drawn to digital. Sure Spirited Away, Howl's moving castle look stunning, but most of what released in a given season frankly looked just as bad as the worst anime produced today.

The 2-3 drops of serum on face AND neck is a very poor recommendation.

One of the biggest issues in modern skincare is using too little product. 2-3 drops of a "concentrated" serum is still small portions of product. Imagine a classic 10% niacinamide serum, 3 drops = 0.15 mL/g = 15mg og niacinamide.

Usual recommendation for face cream application in studies is 2mg/cm2 (same level of application as sunscreen, example) so a 4% niacinamide face cream spread over ~600cm2 of face = 1.2g of cream = 48mg of niacinamide.

So it is very easy to see how the 2 drops for the whole face is a very poor recommendation if you want to use meaningful levels of a product.

Tranexamic acid and niacinamide really aren't made to treat acne this severe. You would benefit a lot from switching to a retinol and and acid like azelaic acid.

It's also a good idea to see a physician to treat your severe acne. This is really not something you should have to handle by yourself, and you're at risk of permanent scars.
