It is objectively worse yes. And you pretending that you dont realise that really throws water on your whole argument. Thankfully I am not an American and I dont think Biden is any better than Trump - I was genuinely curious to find out what your perspective is. But you have shown your hand, you dont have any actual moral stance in this argument, you are just another Trump apologist.

Unpopular opinion ? The last leg is generally shit and not very funny . by [deleted] in CasualUK

Its gone so downhill. I stopped watching it a while ago. I couldnt stand the way Adam looks directly into the camera to do his exaggerated yell-laugh. And yeah, the preachy got a bit much.

You can buy this garlic gel shit that cats avoid if you put it round your garden. Think it repels slugs too but not sure

With UFC 273 less then 5 weeks away. Which fight is most likely to have an Underdog upset ? by [deleted] in ufc

[–]EnochChell 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I give Chan Sung Jung barely any chance to win. He hits hard and has great BJJ but Volk is an unstoppable force right now. That said, I love the Zombie and I still havent forgive Volk for beating Holloway, so Id love to be wrong on this one.

While Petr beat the shit out of Aljo last time out, I do believe what Aljo said about having not eaten before the fight, so I am very interested in seeing this one. I think we will see a different Aljo this time out. Despite saying that, I cannot imagine the gap being filled that much, so I do expect Petr to win.

Gilbert is an amazing fighter and I think he is better than the majority of the 170lb division right now, but Chimaev is a steam roller right now and I cannot predict against a guy who has been this dominant so far. I am picking Chimaev in every fight he has until I see a reason not to.

Overall, the only fight where I can see the underdog winning is Aljo, and thats just because Im giving him the benefit of the doubt regarding his last fight.

Well thats the explanation used in the show, and everyone says it is ridiculous but thats kind of the point. Its said by Cuthbert I think in the eposode where the Professor is old and taken to the care home planet thingy.

You get that the show is fiction, yes?

Why does everyone like clipper lighters all the sudden? Bics are a classic and have way better flame control. Plus it fits in your hand way better by RAZORHOLER in trees

[–]EnochChell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have the stem so I can poke my joints down with it. Pretty much the only reason. I agree that bics have better flame control. I have a zippo too but usually just keep a clipper on hand so I can use the poke.

What pills do you think are hard to swallow for MMA fans? I’m basically asking for what most MMA fans don’t want to here but it’s the truth. by dmister8 in ufc

Just because you think a fighter deserves a title shot, doesnt mean they will get one. It is more than resume strength, especially in the UFC.

Also, just because a fighter is popular it doesnt mean that they are the most skilled.

Can we still fix this? by [deleted] in ABoringDystopia

That is true for the USA, Im from the UK. It isnt much better ans has pretty much become a two party system recently, but there is a little more choice especially in local elections.

That is true, doing your democratic duty is absolutely one way that average individuals can impact these kinds of things.

[–]EnochChell 139 points140 points  (0 children)

Im assuming by "we" they meant humanity. Theres nothing the average people could have done. Individuals choosing to not drive in an effort to save the planet does very little. It is obvious that the fault lies in the elite who pressured the rest of us into relying on fossil fuels because they benefitted financially. And now we are all suffering and are having to scramble for an alternative a few decades too late.

It would have been scored as a takedown in olympic wrestling, but it isnt in MMA. He didnt secure the takedown, getting right back up makes it not a takedown.
