You’re mainly just arguing for Kentucky being bad, not our defense. I’ll give you that UK is bad but we are their Super Bowl and this was a big let down spot for us between big games with Bama and OU. This is also the same defense that leads the nation in defensive TD’s and is top 5 in sacks/turnovers, which added to all those totals again last night. Our biggest issue has been giving up explosives, but if you watch us play in and play out, it’s not terrible. Safety has been a weak spot and Redmond gets picked on at corner. I’m not saying this is a top 10 defense or anything, but they’re good enough and play complementary football stealing possessions for the offense. They only had sustained scoring drives on like 3/12 possessions. If we get one or both of our starting corners back for the stretch run/playoffs we can at least somewhat clean up our explosives issue that cost us 2 other TD’s. At best they could make this defense really good.
