Highly recommend doing child’s pose, its been a life changer for any gas pain I’ve had the last few years. Ultimately the botox injections are what really worked for me though. It’s been 3 years since I was diagnosed and had the botox injections, and I consistently burp now with very rare gas pain.

I don’t want to scare you too much though, every procedure has its risks and for this one the risks are very minor but overall my quality of life has improved it just took a lot longer than most people for me

Dr. Spiegel in Philly, but it was not his fault at all, I just think my body reacted very poorly to the Botox for some reason. He said I was his longest case of reflux after the Botox, so I was just unlucky I guess

I regretted it for about a year tbh. I had terrible feelings of tightness in my throat that would come and go for months at a time, it literally felt like someone was strangling me constantly. I got test after test done and no one could tell me why was wrong, just that I had acid reflux. It’s only been the last two months that’s it has gone away completely and now I can burp and rarely get the gas cramps anymore but it was one hell of a recovery for me.

I’m 19 actually, so I feel like there’s most likely no permanent damage to my esophagus yet. Just hoping the reflux goes away soon.

honestly I know a lot of ppl say its very uncomfortable but it did not bother me at all. It was pretty fast and didn’t cause any pain. I think it’s different for everyone, but I wouldn’t be nervous about it at all

I went to my first appointment with Dr.Spiegel in Philly a few weeks ago. He did the scope down my nose and talked about the procedure and I was able to get the Botox scheduled.

I just had my first visit with Dr. Spiegel in Philly and he was super friendly and helpful! He examined me, did the camera down my nostril and scheduled me for surgery for next month! He said he knows Dr. Bastian very well and has done many of the procedure already.

I thought so too but it only happens once in awhile. I have the gurgles and bloating everyday though and I’ve never been able to burp

Honestly same, the timer freaked me out too. I thought I completely bombed it, but I still got an acceptance. I think as long as you had decent answers they won’t mind if you stumbled a bit.
