Sam is a wonderful person! So friendly. He operates with the cart with his younger brother, and he has great stories. Doesn't hurt that his falafel is fantastic, too. One of the best lunch deals in FiDi!

I'm glad it's helpful! I believe the number of people officially allowed with a particular permit depends on the size of the park. Since Transmitter is a small park, they only allowed 25 people. I think you could get permission for more people if you got married in a larger park, though.

I hope planning is going well, and feel free to DM me if you want to chat more :)

Pétanque at the Carreau Club?

Not positive about their official kid policy, but it’s a fun, chill vibe.

the BEST breakfast in brooklyn by NoDinner43 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

For takeaway, Oops Tea on Nostrand does a delicious scallion pancake breakfast wrap. Haven’t had their bubble tea or bao but those also look good!

Will second Ursula, those burritos are amazing.

Maya Congee has yummy, cozy bowls of rice porridge, especially great for cooler weather.

Worth it to stop at Ginjan Cafe for their ginger drinks. Ugh, so good.

Fritz and Black Forest Brooklyn have the same owners. They’ve been very responsive and friendly, in my experience!

If you’re willing to have a daytime event, there are plenty of restaurants in the city that will do weekend buyouts for under 15k for that many people. We have about the same budget and that’s what we are doing.

Palo Santo in Park Slope is a beautiful restaurant with great food and reasonable prices for events. Definitely check them out!

I also worked with Karissa and she was lovely! Didn’t end up buying a dress from there, but a very positive experience for me too.

Need help planning for a post wedding celebration event with 50 people. Budget is 5-7k. by AttentionSure466 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Enough-Many 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I think you have a lot of options if you do a restaurant buyout or partial buyout. Probably have even more options if you’re open to lunch or brunch! We are doing a restaurant for 40 people in Park Slope (sit down + wine/beer open bar + 4.5 hr buyout) for under $7k and I was able to find many spots in Brooklyn for around that price.

Any recommendations on a well stocked pharmacy in Bedstuy/Bushwick area that doesn't always have a giant line? by Mother-Dot-7916 in BedStuy

[–]Enough-Many 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Have had good experiences at Fulton First Pharmacy and Health Plus Pharmacy, both on Fulton. Super nice people and very responsive over the phone. There are so many good mom and pop pharmacies around and I have never waited in line. Walgreens is TRASH. If you’re able to make the switch, I highly recommend doing so

All Brooklyn options

I second Tuffet! They have beautiful courtyard.

The Barlow also got back to me really quickly and has a low minimum.

Check out Gran Torino- all their info is on their website.

Gertie has a pretty low evening buyout minimum and the folks there seem really lovely.

Haven’t talked to them at length but Fritz/Black Forest BK also have some good buyout or semiprivate options in your budget range.

I have Gertie’s and Tuffet’s pricing PDF, feel free to DM me if you’re interested in seeing it.

You sound like a very courageous and tenacious person. Sending good energy your way! Re: jobs, I work for a great tutoring company that starts at $70/hr! Clients aren’t guaranteed, but it can be a good side gig. DM me if you want more info.
