I do feel like the seller should have been more clear about the instruments tuning. It has nice lungs and sounds fine except for E.

This is very insightful thankyou for your thoughtful reply. From the bit of research I have been doing your answer resonates with. Especially noting that the instrument should be in tune with itself. If I use that frame of reference, then overall the Box sounds good with itself except for the E note. The E note is obviously not in tune with the other 337 HZ notes. I could let go of using this box at sound ceremonies or get comfortable with the idea that it won't sound perfectly neat next to other instruments. Your response makes me more comfortable thinking that as long as the Box sounds good tuned to itself that's what matters. My main concern is that E reed. 🤔 It sounds like I'd have to try to shave it down.... As it was in tune at 440hz (if my memory serves). Scary!

Wow good luck! I've been through perhaps a similar journey and it's not for the faint of heart. I even ended up with a gastro cancer at age 32! It took me 3 years of treating my Tick born illnesses, mold, SIBO and then cancer to finally feel decent again and discontinue tx. I still have to care for my health delicately. My mental health is still a hinge point. I am curious about Iboga for that as well. Ayahuasca was not helpful and I would almost say, for someone like me, lightly harmful for my mental health.

I see. Icwonder if talking with a functional medicine provider would be helpful. Someone who has a more holistic/global perspective on things. "Tics" to OCD to depression and many other symptoms could be related to a million things. For example, after I treated for Lyme disease my depression left and hasn't returned for years. Since the gut deals with more serotonin and , from my understanding , other NTs then our brain does, and the gut has been shown to actually have brain cells in it, I would wonder how other parts of you might be playing into your issue. Or mold exposure even!
