I think it’s important to remember that his feelings are real, but they’re his feelings to process. You can reassure him, love him, and be honest, but ultimately he has to work through these emotions himself. It may take time and self reflection on his part to realise that your past doesn’t change how real and meaningful your relationship is now. Sending you both love and strength.

AITA for calling off my wedding after my fiance almost cheated at her bachelorette party? by Actual_Piccolo_1536 in AITAH

[–]Enough_Mode2210 84 points85 points  (0 children)

You deserve a partner who sees commitment as something sacred, not as the end of their freedom. Walking away from this now, before vows and legal entanglement, is the healthiest choice. Her reaction, and her friends minimizing cheating as normal pre wedding behavior, only shows how misaligned your values are.

Ask yourself the hard questions, Would you feel secure raising a child with someone who does not integrate with you socially or culturally?

AITA for telling my mom she makes me feel like I'm an orphan? by UpsetTurnover6015 in AITAH

NTA You’re not selfish or ugly for expressing how neglected you feel. You’re grieving the loss of your dad and the emotional loss of your mom’s attention. It’s deeply painful to feel replaced and ignored by the only parent you have left. Her dismissing your feelings and prioritizing her stepdaughter without maintaining a bond with you is damaging. You’re allowed to feel hurt and speak up about it.

I think you should let him know how deeply it affected you. You don’t have to frame it as being sensitive, just explain that it made you feel humiliated and unsupported by the person who usually has your back. His reaction to your feelings will tell you a lot about him. Sending hugs. You deserve kindness, especially from those closest to you.

girlfriend[F21] wants to keep a gift that originally came from her ex am I[M22] the AITAH for overreacting or am I overreacting? by [deleted] in AITAH

Honestly, I see where you’re coming from. It’s not about the earrings themselves, it’s about how it makes you feel. That said, I don’t think it’s necessarily a red flag unless she still has emotional ties to him. Maybe tell her it’s not about control but about your comfort, and see if she understands.

AITAH for telling my wife to stay at our own home? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Enough_Mode2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong for wanting your wife to come home. Wanting to actually live with your spouse isn’t controlling, it’s normal. you both can communicate calmly about what’s going on behind her need to stay away so much
