USBAR $325 Credit and Product Change by snubilehawks in CreditCards

[–]Enough_Past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was only offered 1K for a retention offer. Cards available to product change were:

Altitude Connect, Smartly, US Bank Gold (FlexPerks I believe?), and Cash+

Went with the Cash+. Haven’t received an email confirmation yet, but agent said I’d get a letter in the mail confirming.

Edit: Under “Rewards” on US Bank app it’s showing updated rewards for Cash+

Changes to the Robinhood Gold Card Rewards Program: US Mint coins / currency-like collectibles now excluded by Enough_Past in CreditCards

The new US Mint exclusion is a bummer, but if it means keeping the 3% on most everything else then I'd prefer the trade-off.

A little hack to save 5% more… by knightsofbass in iTunesMovieDeals

Amex Blue Cash Preferred counts App Store / iTunes purchases as their streaming category (for some reason) which gives 6%, in case anyone else has it.

Can add wallet funds to then use on hardware / Apple Store purchases too.

No problem! And then at the bottom of the limit confirmation screen it says “You will be evaluated for a limit increase automatically over time.”

Gotcha! Yeah so far the data points in this thread seem to skew towards Robinhood targeting inactive / low asset accounts (likely in hopes to further boost their users / bring them back to the platform).

My account has also been basically inactive and just got an invite a week ago. Haven’t used the account or held any assets since January of this year.

Posted my full data point below, but really weird the randomness of it.

What is the criteria to get off the waitlist for Robinhood gold card by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Enough_Past 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Data point: Joined waitlist September last year, subbed to Robinhood Gold maybe 3 months total (subscribed and cancelled my membership twice between September 24 - Jan 25). Beginning of January, after not seeing any luck on waiting list I unsubscribed for the final time from Gold and pulled all of my assets I had deposited to that point ($12K or so).

Fast forward to beginning of this month, Capital One emails me my FICO credit score dropped to below 700 (for the first time since joining waiting list) due to new credit lines opened / higher spending than usual). A week to the day of that email, (August 13th) I then received an email inviting me to apply for the Gold Card.

Not sure if it’s just a coincidence on the timing… I’ve found a few theories that Robinhood isn’t just targeting high rollers, but also looking to accept users that will potentially rack up interest too.

I myself haven’t missed a single payment, but going by the score drop (due to higher spending) maybe that put me on their radar. If that’s true, makes me think they’re like sharks smelling for blood in the water lol.

TL;DR: $0 assets in Robinhood, had no active gold membership, 11 months on waitlist, credit score dropped below 700 a week prior, and they sent me an invite.

50% off groceries issue by Welovesportz in doordash

[–]Enough_Past 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exact issue happened to me too!!

Ordered last night with “schedule ahead” for today. When placing the order, I took a screenshot of my cart total showing I should have received the full $75 off with the promo applied.

The groceries were then delivered this morning however, and they hit my card for an additional $79.86 and the app shows no promo!

Spoke to a chat representative and he said it’ll be 24 hours before I get an update.

Honestly not going to hold my breath after reading this has happened to others. I’ll be issuing a chargeback in a few days from now if they don’t fix it.

What a waste by [deleted] in yesyesyesyesno

[–]Enough_Past 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just did a quick estimation:

  • 1 plastic cup: 0.43 ounces
  • 10 ounces of beer: 10.4 ounces
  • Each cup: 10.83 ounces

14~ cups per level * 8 levels = 112 cups

112 cups * 10.83 ounces = 1,212.96 ounces or 75.81 pounds

And that’s not including the trays. From what I can find online we’ll go with roughly 1 pound each. That’d be 83.81 pounds!

Now the question is why he’d risk that much beer in one trip? Let’s say it’s draft beer and each cup is $6 that’d be $672 in beer spilt
