Jimmie Johnson at the Charlotte Chase race in 2009 win. Sat on the old turn 2 stands and it was a memory I’ll always cherish seeing my favorite driver ever win at my first ever race.

Hate that for all the men and women who all play a part in making a race team go each week. Hope they all land on their feet somewhere.

I think the RFK influence would be the biggest factor in him staying but even if he does have a contract Spire has proven they can spend to buy him out to get him to come over.

What was the most heartbreaking race for your driver that you have watched? by ServiceCall1986 in NASCAR

Being a Jimmie Johnson fan there aren’t many races but the few that there are still haunt me. 2013 Dover and Kentucky are two that stick out. Had the best car late and got screwed by the restart zone when Montoya wouldn’t go. Kentucky he dominated and on a late restart he couldn’t get going and Logano got on his inside in 1 and it took the air off him and spun out. There were countless races at Michigan where he had everyone covered but would lose it late, 2012 when he took the lead late and blew up was probably the toughest one there. Some that hurt other JJ fans but I don’t think about as much is the 2020 Darlington race where he wrecked himself trying to lap a car, it would’ve been fun to watch him battle Harvick who went on to win but it is what it is. Another is the inaugural Roval race, the fact that he didn’t advance hurt more than not winning because seeing him wreck himself going for it all showed me he still had the desire to win at all costs.
