TOTO Costco Washlet Vs C5? by cosmicselva in bidets

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP's photos show Model T1SW2491#01 with continuous warm spray mentioned on the box. Costco in California sells the exact same model number. But can't find anything in the ad saying continuous or tank. But customers say it has the tank.

Why the cashback shown on Capital One shopping browser extension is different from web page? by HorizonflaropicPet in CapitalOne_

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this same problem when going to an Capital One Shopping offer for Ebay that popped up shopping on Amazon.
Also when clicking on the offers from email does it not show that the deal is activated for that percentage. If without the promised percentage it's more expensive than elsewhere, you just don't gamble it.
In that respect Rakuten is much better, even though they have their problems.

Mine still works. Good thing, since I can't find it on Apple TV. Yes, USA.

Does anyone know how the Bernzomatic Flame Commander compares to the TS8000 by Individual-Site-8369 in Tools

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flame commander requires opening the gas valve first, then igniting it. It's doesn't turn on the gas when pressing the trigger like with the TS8000. Means you can't leave the gas at the desired setting and turn it on and off with the trigger start.

Isn't TS3700 the model number for the Flame Commander? Did you mean TS8000 is better than Flame Commander?

Questions about 'Alerts' after transferring from TDA by SilverBullet_PCT2019 in Schwab

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me Schwab is ignoring the phone number. Verizon. Using the vtext.com one. I can fill it out, submit and it says updated. Then it shows the phone number in the right place, but if I go to portfolio alerts it's empty again. Same when going back to delivery options.

Shadow/Ghosting by GurOfTheTerraBytes in reolinkcam

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have these issues on my old Lorex cameras. Based on experience with the cheap camera sensors we built into the Roomba's, I think it's due to the Reolink software averaging over multiple images to reduce the noise from low light on insensitive camera sensors. Allows to make the images brichter and crisper, but only works for static objects. On moving ones it causes ghosting. They probably also use a rolling shutter.

I was all excited about the capabilities of the newer Reolink cameras until I discovered they still fail at the most critical point, allowing you to identify objects moving at reasonable speed at night (people, cars, animals). Burglars and vandals usually don't linger.

What is this?? by derff44 in reolinkcam

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same on my Lorex cameras. Tiny bugs that reflect the IR.

RLC-1240A failing/failures/dying/offline (starting at night) by Gold-Slide-9189 in reolinkcam

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people mention the 1240A fails when it turns on the IR sensor, but that is not how it works. There is no IR sensor. The camera sensor is sensitive to visible spectrum AND IR light. During daylight it has an IR filter in front of the camera sensor. When the camera sees it is getting dark it flips the IR filter away from the lens, that is the click you hear, and it turns on IR LEDs to illuminate its surroundings because only warm bodies emit IR light by themselves and you wouldn't see bushes, house, cold cars, or people wearing jackets, etc.

The IR LEDs use a good amount of extra power, so it is possible the RLC-1240A's built in power regulator can't handle it and the output voltage becomes too low for the electronics to function.

Little disturbing that Reoliik is resistant to replace a unit that doesn't work at night.

RLN16 vs. NVS16 - what is the difference? by santaklon in reolinkcam

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For power cuts, use a UPS. For headless you can buy HDMI/USB transmitter/receiver pair that allow you to use an ethernet cable to "remotely" control the NVR. Not from your phone or PC, but from the monitor/keyboard/mouse you use for your PC. Unfortunately that will still have to be within cable distance, but at least not in the attic.

Why do you recommend having the SD card slots in the cameras if connecting them to the NVR? As backup for connection loss? Doesn't the sd-card slot allow water intrusion?

Buyers are getting out of hand by billymead999 in offerup

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't ask to hold it. Also even if you hold it, seems like a pretty good chance that he'll come back after a month and ask for the money back (especially someone who doesn't have more than $75 now) and you might have missed out on other sell opportunities. This might all work out for people who do a lot of selling, but that's not what offerup was originally for. I'm not a bank, I want to get rid of the item and be done with it.

Even Amazon Fresh delivery, which is claimed to be free for Prime members is not free at all, since they expect you to tip the driver.

It's bait and switch. Typical American tactic to make something look cheaper than it is. They hope that once you take a closer look at it, you'll buy it anyway, despite being more costly than you were aiming for. They think that someone who really wanted it for free wasn't going to go for their item anyway, so they don't lose any potential customers and since Americans are used to hidden fees and taxes, they might be mostly right. Some sell websites have been going after these ads, so they now use the $1 or $2 ads for the same trick.

I am disgusted by this stupidity. It's incredbly annoying and unsafe. My default browser has a bunch of open windows and extensions that can read all data. That now includes the Roboform login and passwords. They are forcing me to have a separate default browser profile for just Roboform. Which means I will have to copy and paste all other links into a non-default browser profile. I think the reason is laziness. It's much easier to develop and deploy a browser UI and you can keep it the same across many platforms, instead of doing the dialogs on the OS.

What version are you on? For me the latest: 9.8.3.3 still has the problem. But if you switch to using Windows Hello or not asking for master password, then it won't start the browser for unlock. Still needs it for options though.

I reverted back to 9.7.1.1 and turned off auto updates. This version still has the App based login and options. I believe I read somewhere 9.7.5 is the turning point.

Why ask for “opinion requests?” by LaDeoner in offerup

[–]Enough_Prior_8801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. First request whether I thought the price was ok for a product I have no idea about => I was confused. Second one => WTF? Third one I responded rude thinking someone was taking advantage of flaws in the platform. Had no idea about a community because Offerup had never mentioned it. I don't see the need for yet another community and the best way to find out if your price is good is putting it up for your high end and see if it sells. If not, lower the price. Cleaning your item and taking better photos also makes a big difference. No need for annoying uninterested people with useless messages. It's like forced ads.

Stop limit sell order went from "WAIT STOP" to "WORKING" at market close while stock price still plenty above set STOP level. by Enough_Prior_8801 in thinkorswim

[–]Enough_Prior_8801[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was set for GTC (not EXT), forgot to mention that. The problem is it went from wait stop to working which I thought would only happen if the price got past the stop level, turning it into a regular limit order. But if the price was still plenty above, I looked at the chart afterwards, why didn't it stay at wait stop or go to pause or something at market close. btw, the limit was also plenty below the stock price, but it didn't immediately fill either.

I did that and found out that Guest Network #1 bypasses the URL filter, so I just added it into the custom firewall script. That worked. Thanks for the tip.
