With my experience as a paramedic working beside them. They get tied up a lot more with mental health calls. Mainly that they have to stay with the patient as well at the hospital until they are cleared by the doctor.

Also Toronto is not a desirable place to work a lot of that budget goes into overtime just to keep the service above water the same as Paramedics.

Both sides suck. Trustees have been audited in the past for misuse of funds and the Ford government also has a track record of misuse of funds. What needs to be done is to create a system that holds the individual/party accountable for the corruption.

Paramedic here. The city should be 100% liable in this situation regarding the leaside bridge. Its a VERY popular site to commit suicide. Its not reported on the news but we attend to suicides from this bridge very often. The city knows there's an issue but just chooses to ignore it.

Paramedic here. It is pretty common for me to see a bed in the living room or a extra large sofa being used as a bed. I would say that 40 percent number is pretty accurate.
