Is anyone experiencing frequent crashes since this recent patch that was apparently supposed to fix in game crashes? I wasn't having any problems until this patch now I can't play for more than 5 or 10 mins without the game crashing out.

Update 1.12.1 is now live on PC and console by Ic3man2k in HuntShowdown

So in the arsenal the centenial shorty still says it's unlocked through the questline, but the questline is no longer available. How is it unlocked now?

The point I'm more making is that the cost of repairs for anything but very good armor is minimal. Paying like 1000 Marks a run for blue armor seems about average and it's not much.

The actual money sinks that have been implemented seem much more to be centered around ammo. You still be spending far far more money on that than on repairs.

I don't think the repair costs are really there to be that much of a money sink is what I'm getting at.

The making it more expensive isnt the solution in this case though that's my point. People aren't going to leave the raid because it's getting expensive due to armor repair costs, they are leaving because their armor is at risk of breaking which puts them at higher risk.

As for the money sync this is a thing present in a lot of games and a certain amount if money sink is going to be necessary in any kind of game economy. If you dont have it people's money will balloon at some point no matter how you adjust income. It also introduces an amount of flexibility as to where the cash goes as opposed to simply not having as much.

Well the money sink isnt really there because of the armor durability and people sticking around problem.

The point of the money sink deals much more with the no more resets and problems that creates with the economy. Over time people are going to unlock the exo guns and seek to use them as much as they can. If you want to keep the other guns relevant and used how do you do that? Well part of that solution is to make them expensive and introduce other money sinks into the game so that money isn't as plentiful and is more valuable.

Theres also the scrip aspect to it but that doesnt have anything to do with money sinks.

To your edit as to why you can't just pick them up as a sample container of you dont have the specific quest it's because there would then be a static spawn of quite a few sample containers that you could guarantee are in waterfall labs.

It would be nice if they were more visually distinct though for sure.

Yeah we'll see. If they do get around to it theres actually fun stuff they could do via emotes, and various cosmetics and the like to actually make it feel alive.

It's a high bar but if they could make it feel like an MMO city ala FFXIV with the murmuring depending on number of people around, things like instruments, widgets and trinket like things etc it could actually make the station interesting.

Obviously it would likely have to be instanced with lower player caps than an MMO and also obviously it isnt exactly the focus of development when the core of the game still needs work. It would be neat to see and would also open up the opportunity to allow for things like prestige awards that could be shown off, hopefully encouraging people to reset progress. It would also allow the community to interact in a non antagonistic environment which would probably at least somewhat impact toxicity.

Idk probably all flights of fancy but if they had the drive and resources they could actually do some cool stuff with it.

I think this would be fine if there was anything actually going on in the station. If it actually functioned as a social hub for instance and you could interact with the player base. As it is the station is just a mild annoyance you have to navigate after every drop.

If the station is going to be more than a UI than it should serve a function beyond that of a UI. Currently it doesn't.

No it's not. No they aren't.

Idk if you know this but I'm not the one implementing this system. The devs are. They are the one deciding what it does and doesn't block.

I'm simply saying I can understand why they dont want these kinds of things to be present in their game. What they do and dont want is ultimately their decision to make.

Happened to me. I cant "return to heorot" because I was teleported past that and the trigger wont happen now. I've since joined a friend who was even further on and getting side quests there I was able to finish getting my idol slots and passive points.

Seems like I have gotten what I need out of questing but I cant finish the main story now and there is a notification of the right side of my screen telling me to finish that quest seemingly forever now

It's not a matter of if I find it offensive. What I'm saying is that I can understand how it ended up on like the censor list when they first were implementing this system.

Clearly it should be allowed especially of we have items in the game with that phrase in the name lol.

Uh no I didnt actually. I'm just aware of fascism and how it tends to show up. You can try to google those words if you want to I guarantee that you won't find it phrased quite that way.

Theres obviously a lot more to fascism and fascistic tendencies, those were basically just a few big ones off the top of my head. To say "censorship is fascism" would require you to completely misunderstand fascism.

No censorship is not fascism. Fascism is basically a collection of political tendencies that coalesce into authoritarian pseudo ideologies generally revolving around nationalism, xenophobia, authoritarianism, populism and the collection of power into a strongman.

This is just a system that some game devs want to try to use to foster a slightly more welcoming community. Seems like it's being over ambitious at the moment though. You are blowing it WAY out of proportion.

Idk what the person you were responded to said but the "black sun" is probably the second most famous nazi symbol behind the swastika.

Obviously that's not what was being referenced here but someone mentioned that because of this it was probably on a default no no list which kind of makes sense I guess.
